268 Tasting Notes
This is my first time trying tulsi, so just for that thanks Just Organic Tea! Dry, this tea smells exactly like the inside of one of my friend’s (who happens to be Indian) apartment. I know that’s not all that helpful but I really can’t think of anything else that smells like that. When brewing, it smells a bit like green beans. To be honest, it tastes like green beans too with a tiny, slightly basil-y kick at the end. The flavors are extremely mild though. I like it some, but I wouldn’t seek out more tulsis.

I really like this mug! It has a wide infuser that fits on the rim of the cup and has a fine enough mesh to keep your tea relatively sediment-free. It also has a top to keep your tea hot while brewing and that also functions as an infuser rest. The cup is quite heavy ceramic and despite not having a handle is comfortable to hold even after you’ve just poured boiling water in it, except in one small vertical line down one side of the cup. There must be a seam there on the inside because it’s hotter than the rest of the cup. Clean up is a snap! The designs are not stickers and seem like they will last. Plus they are soooooo cute!! At least I think so! I got mine for $15 with free shipping from amazon prime. Bargain!
I was worried about the same thing, too, so I’m glad to know it doesn’t get hot. I’ve looked at them multiple times, but I keep going back to my ForLife Curve mug.
I’m a total baby when it comes touching hot things, like when I’m doing the dishes the water can not be super hot. I’m perfectly comfortable holding this mug, so you probably will be too!
I’m totally stressed about my presentation tomorrow, so naturally I’m procrastinating. Rather than work on it, I’m sipping this lovely tea from my brand new mug(!), on steepster (my new favorite procrastination tool), and I’ve started watching Firefly for the first time.

At least I’m enjoying this calming chamomile and dreamy lavender. Whatever other teas I drink before it, I almost always have this before bed now.
Ooooo, it’s so pretty! I’m sure your presentation will be fine. Just be confident, stop worrying and you will do great!
I got this iced tea at the coffee place in the hospital next to the building where I work. I can’t believe it’s been there this whole time and I’ve never tried it! I liked this tea a lot because the mango was not garish or overwhelming. It was simply fresh, fruity, and delicious!
I stayed up late last night working on a presentation for a big meeting with my boss and am trying to get up to work out every day (I’m on a 7 day streak so far!), so I had extreme need of some Killer’s Vanilla this morning. It was able to make me happy in the midst of all that and I am so not a morning person. It greets you with mint, says “hai girl hai” to your tastebuds with vanilla, and then hugs you with lavender. I love it. It was almost a sipdown for me, aside from the portion I’ve set aside for my swap with Virginia (so excited!). Based on other steepster-ites, I gather that I should be happy about a sipdown? I’m not. Good thing I ordered some more today :-)
Preparation
Gurl, I am so pumped! Woot woot! I know I said I hate lavender but this one is very intriguing. Can’t wait to try it! I love sipdowns when I finish something I’m meh about because it means I can get something new to replace it without feeling guilty. And then there are sipdowns that feel like funerals, where I mourn my last bit of tea and debate wether I should get more of that or something new.
I wish I had all the cupboard space and shipping fee money in the woooooorrrrllldd.
I think you’ll like this despite the lavender. I can’t smell it in the brew and it’s more like you’re tasting mint+vanilla+lavender all together. It doesn’t taste like the chamomile lavender in that you can clearly taste the lavender. It just tastes awesome and then you have all this calm energy without any jitters or a pounding heart. I’m a fan, obviously :)
I must be in the mood for fruit today. Normally I gravitate to more desert-like tea, but I followed a raspberry black tea before dinner with this tea afterward. Confession: I had Republic of Tea’s Coconut Cocoa in between. This tea is just so juicy! Even though it’s pretty heavy on the hibiscus and I’m normally not such fan of that, it compliments the deep strawberry flavor this tea has. I’m still sad that there’s no kiwi detectable, at least by me. I love kiwi and would love to experience it in tea form!

Preparation
This tea is my favorite raspberry tea! It’s tart! It’s sweet! If you add milk, it is a delicious raspberry cream experience. I’m sipping while I’m waiting for stuffed peppers to cook. WHY SO LONG?? I’m getting hangry. This tea is helping to distract me.

Preparation
This is a GREAT black tea blend…mmmmmm so good. It’s really smooth, which I prefer in a black tea. It’s not astringent at all, which is great, but is rather malty and honeyed with the sweetness building from the beginning to the end of the sip. There’s even a tiny bit of a floral quality to it, kind of like jasmine. I’m placing a Butiki order tomorrow (payday, woot!) and this will definitely be in it!
On an unrelated note, if you haven’t seen Chris Hadfield’s cover of Space Oddity which was shot inside the international space station, today is your last chance! It’s being taken down. Stupid copyright laws. Chris Hadfield is a retired Canadian astronaut who commanded the international space station, rocks a serious ’stache, and seems like an all-around awesome guy. Check it out!

Preparation
I decided to start the morning with this tea, which is the only American Tea Room tea I’ve liked a lot. Of course, I’ve only had four, but this one is a winner. So cinnamon-roll-y and delicious! It’s a good thing I decided to have a stay-at-home data analysis day since I set the time on my alarm clock but did not turn it on. Despite the fact that I am a reasonably intelligent adult human, I do that quite a lot. What is wrong with me lol
Edit: So nice I steeped it twice :)
Flavors: Bread, Cinnamon
Haha I love that green bean is a flavor option :)
