Another sample from Krystaleyn – thank you so much!
Well you know – its not to MY personal liking so much – its not bad its just not something I would run out to buy. It was great in all the ways people have said. I just was MEH about it.
I have been in a weird mood lately though I am refraining from leaving a rating. Nothing has tasted very good to me today.

Kittenna

It’s a weird one, that’s for sure. I’m not sad that it’s not part of the permanent collection…

Azzrian

I can totally see where it would appeal to kids though with the funky mix of flavors! Its a fun color for kids too. Not to say adults who like it are wrong or anything. Its interesting, just not my cup of….

Kittenna

Agreed :) Also, totally understand the things not tasting good all day – that was me a few days ago! It was awful :(

Scott B

How did you manage to write a review without leaving a numeric rating? I had the same issue with a tea today-I didn’t like it, but I attributed more to my personal taste than anything else. However, I was unable to leave the number rating blank.

Azzrian

I think I just clicked on Add Tea Note and then closed out the box…umm let me try testing this theory and let you know.

Azzrian

Yup that was it :) works!

Scott B

ok, thanks. doesn’t work for me.

Scott B

Maybe because I was editing a post. I’ll try it some time on a new post and see. Thanks again.

Azzrian

Ah I hope that was it :)

Kittenna

Scott Bee You should be able to either avoid touching the rating bar while writing a review (that will leave it blank) or go in and edit your review, and next to ‘Your Rating’ is a little ‘x’, that if you click, will remove your rating.

Scott B

Thanks, Krystaleyn-it worked :)

Kittenna

Awesome :)

Azzrian

Nice! Good work Krystaleyn!

humm not sure what went wrong. Prepared exactly the same was as last time. It was bitter, seemed to have some strange aftertaste perhaps from an unknown sweetening agent.
Was not impressed and such a DRASTIC change from my last note. Odd.
Lowering rating. Maybe I have evolved. LOL

Mine is a spring 2011 tea but it is SO wonderful. It is amazing the difference between a quality cup of tea and, well, others lol. My husband loved this and sat drinking with me and that is a rare occasion – for someone who rarely drinks tea and knows nothing about it he is a total tea snob! At least he knows a good cup though!
Buttery, slightly floral but not so much as I don’t usually care for floral teas, and vegetal but not overly so this is one I really adore!
Thanks Life in Teacup for the sample!

Wow that was unexpected. Got a sample of this from Krystaleyn and tucked it away for several days. Just brewed it up tonight. It went RIGHT onto my shopping list.
This is the first Davids Tea that has totally wowed me and taken me by surprise.

All I can say is that I am ordering this as soon as I have two nickels to rub together! I will buy this before FOOD! LOL seriously though OMG YUMMMMMM
Joy’s Teaspoon is becoming one of my favorites FAST!

By the way the steep time scale only goes up to 8 – I steeped as per the sites recommendation for 10 minutes.

I would probably dip some Chinese almond cookies in this as I drank it.

Azzrian

I wish I had some! I did dip some other tea cookies but still almond cookies would have been the best!

TeaBrat

I have been soo tempted by this blend (but never tried it!)

Azzrian

Amy it is SO worth getting – seriously – I crave it like chocolate, or cookies, or cake, etc.

Wowza LOVE the white – its the only one I have tried thus far.
Tastes like fresh juicy peaches!
Excellent!
Maybe they remastered this one because I can’t understand past reviews saying it is not good. Oh well I love it – more for me :)

Quite good. The strawberry was excellent – not chemical or fake like a lot of strawberry can taste. I agree with the other tasting note that a little more cakey flavor would be nice but once I added some milk and a touch of sugar in the raw it really came out nicely. Very YUM and I was so in the mood for something decadent!

I had a sampling of this last night – by the way The Persimmon Tree has generous samples!
Anyway – it was really good – the aroma was amazing – the flavor just slightly watery for me so I added a slight bit of sugar in the raw and a decent splash of milk and I feel this brought the tea to life!
It was not bad at all before doing so but I liked it better with.

Most of my reviews will be “snippits” of full reviews that can be found at http://sororiteasisters.com/
Posted every evening at 6 EST.
I usually try to post the exact date that the full reviews will post however sometimes post dates need changed so it may not always be correct. Generally the dates are correct however.

About Me:

Most of my reviews, although not all, will be quite favorable of the tea. This is not because all tea is excellent, but more so because I generally will not waste my time on an inferior tea. If I do not care for a tea I won’t continue to drink it let alone spend time reviewing it. If you see a review by me you basically know it is a quality tea. Granted it may not suit your specific taste buds, we all like different things, but as for a tea on the whole it is a good one, from a good company.

I am a spiritual advisor by profession.
I have two “young adult” children.
Four cats and three dogs.

Some of my hobbies include gardening, essential oil therapy, natural perfumery with essential oils, and cooking.

I look for complexity overall in any tea, dimensions to the flavors.

I believe tea should evoke a feeling, thought, emotion, or attitude.

I enjoy most all oolongs, blacks, whites, and greens.

I always love to try a good yellow tea.

I favor unadulterated teas but I do have my longings for a good flavored tea now and then so I don’t rule them out by any means!

I enjoy green rooibos don not like red rooibos.
