This is currently my favourite tea. I really enjoy sweet teas, and this one is warm, comforting, sweet & comfy. My go-to when I don’t know what else I’m in the mood to drink.

Birthday cake, I love anything that has to do with birthday cake! By itself, I don’t taste the birthday cake AS MUCH, but when I add milk and sweetener, it’s a different story. Hot, it tastes and smells like a yellow/white cake baking in an oven. Cold, it reminds me kind of like birthday cake ice cream. This tea oddly reminds me of the Oh Canada tea, it does have some sort of maple aftertaste, but I prefer this tea much better than Oh Canada. This cake tea works great as a dessert served as a latte, it’s very indulgent and even my little brother who is picky about anything loves this tea!

I bought this way back in April when it first launched. I got 100g tin before trying it which I guess i should have gotten less. At first the smell and taste was overwhelming. The taste seemed very artificial but I couldn’t figure out what it tasted like. When you brew this your whole room will smell like the tea. After a few more tries it grew on me and I now like it for the occasional cup with a bit of soy. I wish it was more natural and less artificial. If you love birthday cake and sprinkles and don’t mind artificial tasting tea, this tea is for you!

When I first smelled it, it was really, really sweet! I decided to take it without sugar at first, just milk. It took the milk really really well, so I thought I’d add a tiny bit of sugar to make it more birthday-cake-y. I must have added a bit too much, because it ended up being much too sweet! I have a 50g bag, though, and I do plan to finish it off. Really, really yummy — it did taste just like birthday cake!

This tea for me was love at first smell! I’ve now bought and tried all of the DAVIDsTEA Cupcake Teas and while this one isn’t my favourite of the bunch, it is still pretty delicious!

Appearance wise, it was really cute to see the multi coloured sprinkles and there is a pretty generous amount of ice cream bits in there too. It smells fantastic with warm brown sugar and subtle hints of vanilla.

Taste wise, this is a very smooth tea with a flavour very similar to the smell. I’ve added both a touch of honey and milk and it tasted even better! Either way though, it’s an easy tea to drink!

I think that I’ll probably buy this tea again for myself and I’ll definitely be buying this for my tea drinking friend’s birthdays!

OK I got this as a gift from a friend with a few other teas. The smell is almost sickly sweet and overall the flavour is kinda blah. This is officially the first Rooibos blend I’ve ever tried that I did NOT like.

I was served this as the Tea of the Day at my local David’s Tea.

This tisane is too sickly sweet for my liking. It smells and tastes overwhelming like maple syrup.
