132 Tasting Notes
(steeped hot then poured over a cup of ice)
wonderfully perfect herbal tea, i’m SO sad it ran out before i could stock up. fingers crossed DAVIDs brings it back sometime soon!
gorgeous ripe red fruit aroma with a hint of tanginess – tastes just like sun-warmed fresh-picked raspberries in the summer. glorious. the mint isn’t present in the cup, but as a refreshing aftertaste that lingers on the tongue.
Flavors: Mint, Raspberry, Sweet, Tart
Preparation
(steeped hot then poured over a cup of ice)
really lovely, true pink grapefruit flavour; sweet and tart citrus aromas up front with the chicory root giving a bitter aftertaste. wonderful iced, would not drink hot but it would probably still taste just fine
Flavors: Grapefruit, Sweet, Tangy, Tart
Preparation
sweet, spicy, cozy. not overpowering in the rooibos department since it’s a blend of red and green – awesome. and i’m loving those white chocolate chips. even one in your perfect spoonful and your cup will have that nice hint of creaminess.
if you liked gingerbread from last winter’s holiday collection, then you’re going to like pumpkin cheesecake. VERY similar flavours, but a delicious tea nonetheless.
could this mean gingerbread is not coming back for a second year? probably. but i’m happy with this tea as a ‘replacement’.
a nice caffeine free pumpkin blend i can have late in the day. wahoo, gotta stock up..!
Flavors: Cake, Cinnamon, Ginger, Honey, Spices, Sweet
Preparation
yes! finally a lovely nighttime tea without chamomile (i’m allergic)!
most nights i have such a hard time sleeping, and valerian root really works on me, so yes, i am in love! this tea is now a staple. plus lemon balm is super calming as well, so all in all, a beautiful blend. THANK YOU, DAVIDs!
smells quite minty at first with a hint of that sweet fruit and vanilla, but once steeped, the mint really mellows out. very subtly sweet, with a hint of that minty goodness and little bit of lemon peeking through. very well balanced and calming.
Flavors: Fruity, Mint, Sweet, Vanilla
Preparation
crisp, refreshing flavour! more peppermint and echinacea when hot, with the citrus notes taking a back seat, but as an iced tea this blend really shines. definitely more zesty and bright from the lime and lemongrass. very refreshing! and a nice bonus, as i don’t always want a HOT tea when i’m getting sick. would definitely drink this as an iced tea year round!
Flavors: Citrus, Mint
Preparation
this tea it outrageous. it’s equally great hot and iced, and amazing as a hot or iced latte.
those big chunks of cinnamon really warm it up. the apple, pineapple and currants give it a nice natural sweetness. the almonds, coconut and popcorn lend that cozy savory-sweet awesomeness. and pink colouring from the beetroot is always crazy fun.
it’s the best parts of forever nuts, movie night, and salted caramel all rolled into one heartbreakingly seasonal discontinued (caffeine-free-so-i-can-drink-it-before-bed-HOORAY) tea.
i hope you all stocked up.
Preparation
this one is fairly light for a black tea. the spices are really evident, love those cloves! not very sweet at all, but i suppose since the tea base itself isn’t so heavy, that lets what sweetness there is shine through.
not AS incredible as i was hoping – but pumpkin spice and mom’s apple pie are always the knockouts for fall, so i’m not really upset :)
still a pretty good cozy autumn tea!
Preparation
really lovely end of summer blend! i wasn’t expecting much from this one as chamomile isn’t one of my favourite ingredients, but here it really works.
very nice, light fruit flavour from all that yummy mango, paired with the warm vanilla that makes you want to snuggle up on a chilly september night – perfect.
Preparation
okay, not a ‘summer tea’ persay, but i guess i didn’t get around to reviewing it in my last batch of samples. isn’t this a fairly new tea though? i can’t find it on the website… maybe it didn’t do well! unfortunate.
mates are tough for me; i used to LOVE honey bee, but now when i smell it i start to feel nauseated – no idea why. anyway…
really mellony at the start, but almost sort of… bland? kind of dusty maybe, at the end. blerg. not a fan. just as well as it’s not a keeper with DAVIDs either! ah well
