1473 Tasting Notes
Another oldie but goodie, a good standard to help me wake up without the use of coffee, which does my tummy no favors. But this puerh is juicy and the perfect morning pick me up.
I live! Fall is on the way and it always gets me back into tea, I can’t help it. In the past year I’ve been on a cruise, I moved in with the in-laws for a month and a half, my wife lost her job and found a new, better job within a week, and I was officially diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Woo. Busy year, but overall a good one!
Reached for this tried and true favorite due to wanting an oolong I can steep over and over and over and not get tired of. I made it in a steeper and put it in my new raccoon lock top mug, the first time with just a single ice cube to cool it enough to drink and the second time with the mug full of ice so I could enjoy a refreshing drink on this warm Toronto afternoon. As always, a+. Will always be one of my favorites.
Side note, I’m dying to see the back of one of the raccoon nordic mugs, all I can find are pictures of the raccoon on front with his little mug of tea. Does anyone out there have one they can snap a quick picture of for me? I’m trying to convince myself I don’t need it since I got the matching lock top mug, buuuuuuuut…yeah. Tempted.
Preparation
So I’ve gone through nearly 100g of this tea and today I had my first bad cup. To be fair, it was also my first time trying it hot and I do sweeten with stevia, so that may have figured in here, so I’m not adjusting my rating at all. But it was painfully artificial and not good at all.
