Hit the jackpot

Mulberries are a pretty precious fruit, so you don’t find them in tea very often. After all, mulberry trees are usually reserved for silk making, as they’re the only thing silkworms will eat. No wonder – they’re naturally sweet and rich, with an almost caramel-like flavour. In a word, decadent. Here we pair golden mulberries with creamy coconut and delicate white tea, for a tea that is guaranteed to give you gold fever. Eureeka! (MK Kosher)

Ingredients: Organic: mulberries, coconut, white Silver Needle tea. With natural and organic flavouring*.

Stopped at David’s at a friend’s urging…what? she urged me! and I smelled a bunch of tea and settled on this one (omg omg omg omg they are getting a lime green timolino!! omg omg omg!).

This tea tastes like the creamiest of creamed milk, with some more cream on top, all garnished with the slightest sprinkling of the finest white chocolate. That’s all I have to say. Delicious delicious. I had it as a soy latte (I’m lactose intolerant, and although I “tolerate” lactose of my own choosing, my stomach becomes apoplectic when it sees like 16+ oz of actual milk).
David, you done good, you really done.

this is why i’m jealous of Canada.

Lime green timolino? AWESOME! Did they tell you about any other colors? PINK, maybe hopes

Isling, I didn’t hear pink specifically. They said “royal blue”, and said they didn’t know of the rest.
Pyarkaaloo, want me to send you some?

Is there anything better than this tea?! I’m in love, I have been drinking this one since it first came out. First you taste the mulberry and the white tea and your left with a decadent creamy coconut taste in your mouth. Not only is this tea just amazing plain, but its literally good anyway! Iced, Iced Latte, Latte, anything! If you haven’t tried it as a latte, I seriously recommend it, it is absolutely to die for especially when you mix it with Movie Night ! (From Davids as well)

Flavors: Caramel, Coconut, Cream

Sipdown!

This came as part of a set with other teas from David’s, and while I’ve had it to-go before, I appreciated the chance to try it again.

Since the tea was so big and chunky, I steeped the entire sample twice. First time sweetened with cinnamon honey, second time with lemon honey. I think the lemon-honey was a better fit for this tea, but it was otherwise not that remarkable. Sweet, a bit cocnutty, a bit caramelly, you know?

However, I added SO MANY teas to my cupboard today that I’m not sad to see this one leave.

Sipdown. I think this one really isn’t for me. It has an odd plastic note that ruins the blend for me, and considering I’ve been making it in a metal filter I think it’s the tea and not anything else. I’m glad I got to try it but I doubt I’ll get this one again.

Awesome but needs a lot of tea and some agave!

[Backlog] – I was very surprised to open up the pouch of this tea to see large chunks of coconut and huge mulberries! Where’s the white tea? There are a few leaves in there, but it’s mostly coconut and mulberries. The scent of this blend is quite interesting, as well. It smells sweet, tart and a bit like juice. I’m starting to think that this might be a good blend for those who don’t like the taste of tea, but maybe the white tea will come out more in the flavor.

Wow, I wasn’t expecting this blend to taste like this given the ingredients! It’s certainly sweet and a bit creamy. I definitely see the comparison to caramel, but a version that has a tinge of fruit. The finish reminds me of almost burnt, crusty sort of sugar. Yum! I wish that the cup had a bit more body only because I think it would make it a richer treat, but it’s certainly drinkable the way it is.

I would recommend this blend for anyone who is looking for a unique, sweet tea. To be honest, I can’t really taste any of the white tea and wouldn’t know of its inclusion had I not read the ingredients list. I might try to fish around in the pouch to see if I can gather more leaves. I’m not missing the flavor all that much, but I’m not sure if the tea is worth the price given the large volume of coconut and mulberries.

I expected a stronger taste, maybe I’ll use hotter water next time. Smells creamy and delicious – tastes faintly the same.

Day #5 of the 12 Days of Christmas 2013. Thanks to Momo-this was the perfect fit and the neatest looking tea I think I received. The mulberries were so pretty as well as the look of the tea in general. This may sound strange, but it Looked so good, I couldn’t wait to drink it. The taste was just as good as the look and aroma. This is my third DavidsTea and I am starting to see similarities in the natural flavoring added to some-can’t wait to try more.

Ladies and gentleman, I now give you my favourite white tea. I really enjoy the flavor of coconut, and I was hoping for a lot of that in this blend. Needless to say, I thought it was great. I also enjoy that it is organic as well. It’s a little bit pricy, $11.50 for 50g, but I feel like it’s worth it for the great white tea quality.
