Can’t say that I’m a fan. Tastes more like juice than tea, and the pom just seems to turn super scidic right away. Will not be turning to this one again.

I’ve been wanting to try this one for a while – and unfortunately all I could find was the tea sachets rather than the loose tea, so that is my next mission when I’ve worked my way through my current stash. I really like this tea – despite it being in bags. I can definitely taste the bergamot and the citrus, which thankfully was not super strong. There are fuity notes in the mix as well but the black tea holds strong and doesn’t mellow out the moment it begins to cool down. I take mine with milk and honey (or agave when i have it) and I enjoy it the most when it is still piping hot, but it is still an excellent all around tea that I go to in the cold evenings when I want a bodied black tea with milk.

I was a bit skeptical about this one to say the least, especially after having tried Cinnamon Hearts (Davids) and not being thrilled. boy was I judging this book by the wrong cover! Cinnamon Rooibos Chai is a wonderful tea, especially during the fall season when I always crave these spices. The cinnamon is quite strong so if you’re a fan of Cinnamon heart candy I’d say definitely give this tea a shot! I like mine clear with a little bit of honey to cut the acidity since I let mine steep quite a while. I also drop half a cinnamon stick into the teapot to make it even spicier. While there is not a ton of caffeine in this one, it does help to maintain focus and mental clarity if you’re up far too late working on an essay for instance… :)

drank Blazing Strawberries by DAVIDsTEA

I am super sad that I only discovered this one at the end of the summer! I love Blazing Strawberries hot or iced, and usually straight up – but a little bit of agave helps when I’ve forgotten about it for a few hours and steeped it way too long. Definitely hope this one will be returning next summer!

drank Mom's Apple Pie by DAVIDsTEA

I had this one as a tea-to-go the other day. Can’t say I was too impressed, which makes me sad. I loved the smell of the loose tea though. I think that in order to get a proper idea of whether I like this one or not, I’d have to play around with the level of water temp, steeping time, agave and/or milk. I suspect that the reason why I wasn’t partial to this as a tea-to-go was that the water was WAY too hot and I left the tea bag in hoping to reuse it again later…. which resulted in a very pungent and slightly bitter tea which did not remind me in the slightest of my mom’s apple pie.

Will definitely have to retry this one!

drank Chocolate Rocket by DAVIDsTEA

Chocolate. Raspberries. A teensy bit of almond. What is not to love?!
Chocolate Rocket is great straight, with agave, or even with a bit of milk. And it is supercharged with caffeine, which on a cold morning is a wonderful thing. Also, the chocolate is much more of a feature flavor with this tea than with some of the other teas that have been ‘chocolatey teas.’ It does get a little pungent if left to steep too long, but I usually just give it some extra hot water and I’m good to go!

drank Jungle Ju Ju by DAVIDsTEA

I LOVE this tea! I was hoping for a tea that would fill the hole that Fruite Mate left in my life, and whoa nelly! Jungle JuJu sure packs a wallop – I love that I can drink it straight or with a teensy bit of agave. It is nice and fruity without being pungently so, and it does not get super strong or bitter if I have it in a travel press all day. I really hope they keep this one around for a long time!

Very very tasty. A bit of a lighter tea, with a muted but definitely noticeable cinnamon flavor. I like the rooibos and rose notes as well. best way to drink this one is straight up. It does well with long steepings (i.e. forgetfulness) and multiples as well. Though I don’t think I would try for more than three.

drank Honey Bee by DAVIDsTEA

Definitely something I’m going to be keeping in the cupboard!

The honey notes are very strong in this one, but not too much so. I love it straight, or with some milk. I couldn’t really taste the mate though, but that doesn’t hinder my overall opinion of it. I love this one when I’m deep in term-paper time and it’s been a great help for maintaining focus.
