I have grown fonder of this one as I’ve sipped down the mini tin. The acidic coffee is softened by the lavender and makes for a quite drinkable cup!

Subscription box tea. The pecan pie would have blended better with the vanilla rooibos in this box. Instead, it is blended with vanilla mint? The first steep was mostly pecan pie flavoring, which I love; and the second steep was more minty, and not a toothpaste mint, but they don’t really go together. It’s not bad, and I will drink it because I like the pecan pie, but the blend is a miss for me.

Winter Cabin is my favorite and I’m not loving it blended either ha ha!

I had the first packet of this advent tea a few days ago, and went back for the second packet today. A nicely balanced chai with a caramel aftertaste. I gravitate towards ginger or cinnamon chai, but this one was creamy and sweet and I would purchase in the future. I am very much enjoying the Plum Deluxe caffeinated advent!

Well it seems I am way to busy to log the plum deluxe advent I am enjoying I am thankful I have a few minutes each morning to brew a cup. This week I’m on the Southern Californian coast removing ice plant with the Sierra Club. What a beautiful place to work! I typically prefer awesome tea to Ceylon, but this is quite nice. It’s smooth with a dark chocolate undertone and a sweet finish.

I made a pot of this to drink last night with my family as we socialized. I was trying to taste the mango, but all I got was honey vanilla and pear. Very yummy and would make a good iced tea. Brewed the leaves again in a large mug and it was just as good this morning. I would add this to an order. :)

It seems like an interesting concept and I’m glad I added it to my latest SV order, but this was just a miss for me. It’s not bitter, it’s just too floral poppuri for me. I tried adding a little honey, and it softened the soapy taste, but not enough for me to like this tea.

drank Marzipan by TeaGschwendner

I got this for Christmas last year and have enjoyed sipping it down, I think I have just a few cups left. I use a lot of leaf and a short steep to get all the almondy goodness without any bitterness. It is snowing in IL today so this is a nice warming tea to drink. My only complaint is that the second steep is quite weak, so I wouldn’t go out of my way to purchase more of this tea.

Sipdown! I really need to drink all the odds and ends tea before advent season. So this ho hum blend gets finished off. If you don’t like shou I’d give this one a pass. And even the shou has a barnyard bite to it. It seems like a good idea, maybe I’ll try blending some shou with my favorite awesome tea and see how it turns out.

A flavored puerh first thing in the morning? I have some Scottish breakfast on deck as a backup. But this is earthy without being barnyard, a hint of chocolate without trying to be sweet, and a citrus note that is drowning in puerh. It’s not bad, but I prefer the coffee puerh from OBT. I might add some ginger next brew.

I started drinking more tea about 10 years ago when I found that even my half -caf coffee was making me jittery and then sleepy after the caffeine wore off. While I started out with mostly Teavana, but soon expanded my tea cupboard to include lapsang souchon, pu-erh, Assam, and other strong black teas. I do enjoy oolongs, green, and other teas, as well as a nice tisane for an evening cuppa.
I’m not fond of jasmine or bergamont teas, though I’ll try anything once.
I am an avid traveler, hiker, soccer player/watcher.
I love trying new tea in new places, if you see something in my cupboard you want to try, hit me up for a swap!
