108 Tasting Notes
Tried this today at Harney Soho. They were having a Valentine’s Day tea flight.
This was the unflavored black tea in the 3 tea flight. I gave it a try and my taste buds did a bit of a dance. It is a very sweet tea. I felt like I was drinking Honey.
I was going to leave the store without buying it, got near the door and realized that I desperately wanted another taste of it, so I walked out with a 2oz bag.
This is a great addition to my cabinet.
Preparation
I second everything Jacqueline said! I have been looking at this one for a while so now I will put it on next week’s order.
Got a cup of this to go from HarneySoho today. I have never had it before but I am pleasantly surprised! I didn’t think I would like a tea that has a chocolate base, but it is oddly refreshing. I am not sure I will buy it to have in my cabinet, however, it was a very nice pick-me up this afternoon.
Preparation
Beware! I thought chocolate and tea simply couldn’t belong together at first. Then I tried this and I liked it a little at first but I am not a hazelnut fan. Then one day I found myself wanting some more, and drank a half cup and poured out the rest. Then the cravings started…..with a splash of milk and a bit of sugar, this can really get its hooks in you!
To set the scene:
9 degrees out on a New England Morning, I Doodleology wait outside my place of work to be let in. My boss, doesn’t hear my knocks, and the store phone would not pick up for another 45 minutes. I wait in the blistering cold for a good twenty minutes until my boss realizes I am at the door.
If it weren’t for Queen Catherine in my teapot, a scarf and my heavy gloves, i might have frozen to death.
My life seriously flashed before my eyes. (okay not really, but it was damn cold!!!)
Preparation
Another pot of White Vanilla Grapefruit this morning. And today, I tasted the grapefruit. It’s in the aftertaste. It leaves a nice, clean slightly citrus taste on your tongue. This gives me even more reason to love this tea. :)
