108 Tasting Notes
Felt like making a pot of this tonight. It’s just a very happy tea. Nice and sweet naturally so there is no need for sugar.
I bought myself a 4oz tin of this yesterday because i was running low on the 2 oz i bought around Valentine’s day. mmm
Preparation
Gave this a try today at Harney SoHo. The first thing you notice when you take a sip are the cocoa notes. They are nice and bold, but not overpowering at all. It was a nice jump for the taste buds. It wasn’t as sweet as I was hoping it to be, which is certainly not a bad thing. This is going on my shopping list for sure.
First day back to the museum job after a well deserved week-long vacation. So I made a pot of this to go to start the day off strong.
Well it turns out i was by myself at work because my co-worker and boss both called in sick. So when you drink 20oz of tea in the AM around 1pm you have to pee REALLY BADLY. And I couldn’t go because we had visitors in the museum. So i figured, when they leave, i go pee, won’t be long. right? WRONG. 4 hours later i was finally able to relieve my screaming bladder. People just kept streaming in to work. which is GREAT on any other day, and not a day where i have to pee for 4 hours.
I guess it was my fault for drinking all that tea this morning….
Brewed some Assam this morning. It was probably not the bold wake up i need having it be my 17th day in a row of work, and 21st day of work this month, but it’s such a pleasant tea to sip on all day, that I couldn’t resist.
Preparation
Yesterday was a horrible day at work. So today, I needed to start my work day with something strong. Lapsang Souchong is always a great bold tea to help you grab the bull by the horns and get stuff done.
I am in a fantastic mood today and i owe it to my 20oz pot of Lapsang Souchong.
A good tea for a stressful day. Bold flavors, but not overpowering. Also tastes good at room temp. Which leads me to believe this will be a good iced tea.
