171 Tasting Notes
My illness has left me home for the whole day. I’m a busy body and very restless today. But, I get up to do something and then I get exhausted. So, I spent 30 minutes hunting through boxes for a book I read 5 years ago and want to read again. I can’t find it. So, I made tea and put on another girly movie.
I’m hoping this tea will help me relax, tomorrow I should feel a bit better and I can accomplish some stuff tomorrow.
I like this tea, I think it’s inappropriately named however. It’s more apple and cinnamon than vanilla. Which is why I felt compelled to purchase and actual Vanilla Rooibos tea. I’m bored with my collection at the moment. Then again I’m bored with EVERYTHING today!!!!! I just want to get up and go for a hike or even just do some laundry.
Ugh! First cold/flu I have had in two years! This definitely calls for a strong minty tea. If I didn’t have a pile of boxers on my lap I would take more medicine.
Preparation
AAAAAAgh, no flu NO NO FLU— absolutely not allowed! you poor thing. You need any tea with elder berry and echinacea in it ASAP
:( Had I known that elder berry helps I would have picked some up when I went out for honey today. I feel awful.
I drink elderberry regularly when flu season rolls around, or anytime I feel a little off. Astragalus root is also a good choice, simmered with ginger root. Add a little honey & lemon peel at the end. I get mine from www.cherylsherbs.com
I had purchased the Stainless Steel Bodum travel mug two weeks ago. There was a lot I didn’t like about it, namely that the lid kept popping off. So, thanks to there fantastic return policy I took it back and got another perfect mug, glitter and gold and this one. I did not realize that it was just Oh Christmas Treat renamed. I spent last holiday season living off this tea while opening a VERY busy retail store.
I have a terrible cold right now and my sense may be playing tricks on me. This smelled horrible, but tastes great! I’d like to add a tin to my collection, but I’ve run out of room on the wall rack I use. Which means I need to re-examine my location.
This tea makes an amazing latte btw!
Preparation
I’m always hesitant with green tea. It never fails, I always mess it up. I forgot about this one, while it was steeping, because I’m horrible.
But, my forgetfulness is no match for blue nettle. This tea turned out beautifully. I added a bit of local honey because my throat hurts.
It’s sweet and lemon-y, but hearty and vegital (is that a word? lol).
And, I apologize. I forget who sent me this sample, but it’s VERY much appreciated.
Preparation
How does this tea exist? I liken this experience to what I imagine afterlife is like, if you’ve behaved anyway. lol
It’s creamy and rich and flavourful. I even poured some off so my coworker could try it. It’s amazing.
Thanks to Jes for this sample, now I have to buy it.
Preparation
I want to order from them. But, I need to order from butiki and possibly verdant first. I wish somewhere her sold H&S
Thank you to Jes for this sample!
This is a very fragrant tea. I couldn’t find measurement on the website, so I assumed the sample was for one cup.
It’s definitely caffeinated, rich in flavour. I’m not keen on the cranberry, it tastes almost medicinal. I can definitely see how it would appeal to some though. It’s very well balance and smooth. You can taste almonds and vanilla as well.
Preparation
What a beautiful tea! I feel like this is something I have never noticed in another tea. It smelled fantastic to! I sniffed the little packet 4 times before I dumped it into my strainer.
It brewed up the colour of honey and smells like sweet, fresh melon. I’m not a melon fan (texture, not taste) so I felt compelled to try this tea. Cantaloupe is sooo good! It’s so fresh! Required no sweetener, no milk. A perfect tea.
