2318 Tasting Notes
Nice maple flavor with sometimes a hint of bitterness that can be covered up easily with soy milk. I taste a little bit of apple too. 52teas always has the best maple teas! I prefer other maple blends, but this certainly wasn’t bad! My last cup was particularly toasty and satisfying.
I taste a bit of vanilla, but this one was pretty mild. It was pleasant, but I prefer other more interesting flavor profiles.
There’s a weird fakeness in here that I can’t quite place. But also…it does slightly remind me of cookies and cream. Ha maybe the artificial-ness of that weird flavor is managing to make me think of the cream in an Oreo, which of course is vegan and made of who knows what. So this tea isn’t bad, but it’s a little fake for me. Decently well executed and accurate tasting with some sweetener and milk. The last time I had this, I tasted the popped rice quite strongly.
I love the pillowy marshmallow flavor. Below that, I taste both the lemon and blueberry distinctly. This is well-balanced and high quality, as always. I think it tastes best cold or at room temperature with milk and sugar. There’s a tiny bit of astringency in my final cup, so maybe I’d brew it for slightly less time if I had more.
This tastes a bit like sugar cookie sleigh ride from Celestial Seasonings, which I was glad to find a box of this holiday season after a few years without. I’m kind of obsessed with how sparkly this tea is. It also tastes somewhat like the various forever nuts spinoffs. Not bad, just not special, and a little weak. Pleasant with milk and sugar overleafed.
I couldn’t remember exactly what this tea was called, so in my notes I have it written as “stalactites” which isn’t the furthest off! It’s lightly fruity and a little coconutty. I love a lemongrass-heavy tea. It’s really refreshing cold! I remove the butterfly pea flower so I don’t have to taste that flavor. Frustratingly, the coconut is starting to turn already.
I wouldn’t have guessed this was supposed to be lemonade. It’s not tart at all, more soft and desserty. I made sure to pay attention in my final cup, and I definitely got a green mango sort of vibe, though I wouldn’t have minded if it had veered more toward ripe mango.
I definitely taste the marshmallow! It’s pillowy and nice. My second cup of this was a little average. I think you need to drink this one cold to appreciate it. I refrigerated my final cup overnight, and it was creamy and pleasant with a lot of black tea shining through as well.
