sigh
I can’t wait to get back to Canada where my collection of tea awaits me…I brought a few teas with me thinking that if I was moving to China there would be plenty of options for buying tea….well, no where close to me! There are supermarket teas that I can’t read and don’t particularly trust. And there are some that I recognize – like this one, which has become a staple for me as I try to ration my favourites that I brought along!

My favourite thing about this tea is that I find it wonderful for an upset stomach, which, unsurprisingly, is fairly common here. It’s a bit weaker than I’d like – if I was home I’d use two teabags, but I try not to go through it too quickly. Ginger is one of my favourite flavours – I’m a huge fan of homemade ginger beer so any tea that is gingery (Davidstea Super Ginger for example) is great for me!

I do find that the bag breaks apart sometimes and I end up with floaty bits of ginger in my timolino. Not a huge deal for me at all but it might bother some people.

A friend brought me two new teas to try from Taiwan – I can’t read the packaging but I think one is a green and one is an oolong. Lemon and ginger is nice but I’ll be happy to switch it up!

I love this tea! It’s got just the right balance of lemon and ginger, and it’s sweet by itself.

I wasn’t so sure about this tea when the aroma first hit me. The first thing that came to mind was “Lemon Pledge” (like the furniture polish). Then I thought “Aw man! I just wasted my money on this tea when I could’ve had Pledge straight from the bottle!” I prepared it with 2 packets of Truvia sweetener since I wasn’t sure about honey flavored Pledge. The tea actually turned out kinda nice though. It’s more like lemon fruit loops! I’ll try it with honey next time.

I Love the flavor of this. I think the flavor of the lemon makes this tea enjoyable to be, however since I like stronger tea’s the original stash lemon ginger is my preference due it its strong bite of ginger. This tea, is a relaxing lemon tea. I recommend

The only bagged tea I keep around right now. My friend made it for me when I was sick once and I said, “what tea is this?! It tastes like the botan rice candies I used to eat when I was a kid!!” So if you want a delicious tea that tastes like Japanese candies, drink this with loads of honey! This is like ultimate comfort food to me, I don’t care if it’s cold or hot out, middle of the day or middle of the night, I will never ever say no to this tea. :)

This is not a tea I’m crazy about. I’ve only tried it hot, both with and without honey, and neither time it was too great. I might give it a try iced, maybe that will help it.

A tea Leah makes me drink when she things I’m getting a cold even when I insist that Asgardians are immune to such mortal illnesses. However, it’s pretty good for a forced drink, especially if you sneak in a taste of sugar when she’s not looking. However, it does have a slight odor resembling the pledge of lemons.
