Lemon Ginger tea, tastes like…. exactly that! Lemon and ginger! The lemon overrides the ginger a little bit so it’s kind of more like lemonade. So yes, drink this hot when you have a cold or sore throat and cold if your sitting out in the sun! It’s great either way!

Love this tea! Drink it every night before bed, sleep like a baby! Suggest you squeeze a small amount if fresh lemon into cup for that extra taste of zing.

This tastes like it has been put together by someone who has never actually tasted lemon or ginger. It manages to be too weak and too gingery at the same time. Also, my cat burned her face on the steam but that was her own fault, really.

A definite revitaliser.. there’s just something about the stern ginger taste that brings you back to life and makes you think clearly.. for how long this lasts i couldn’t tell you ;)
Again, i add a little sugar and leave the teabag in throughout, getting a really full flavour by the last mouthful. I would point out that Asda do a (of course – cheaper) version of this tea but with mango flavours added as well, which gives it another dimension.. its not quite as … ‘exquisite’ as Twinings perhaps, but this could just be branding psychology.
A very tasty tea for mid-late afternoon.

To me, sharp, yes lemon and Ginger, but I don’t like the combination. I like ginger beer, and lemonade. But for this tea, not a good combination.

After a childhood of fresh ginger and lemon juice infusions, it was hard to imagine a tea bag living up to the rejuvenating flavour I love. But this one was quite good!

I’m still amazed at how real it tasted. It was like fresh lemon juice and zest with earthy ginger. I brewed it way too long the first time (3 minutes) and it was almost too strong to drink. 2:30 is about right to tame the acidity and fire.

It needs honey, a lot of honey.

The flavour isn’t amazing or even soothing… but it’s real. I respect that.

Also I’m noticing a huge difference in the boxes sold in the US and the UK. Not sure what acrobats with swimming hats has to do with lemon and ginger, but it’s nice to look at I guess.

I totally agree! I drink this one as well. Mainly for digestion after dinner. It’s not amazing taste wise, but it is helpful.

Happy World Honey Bee Day! Today the prompt is to drink a tea with honey flavor notes, or add honey to a cup of tea!

This is well-timed on my part because I’ve taken ill with one banger of a cold. Since the symptoms overlap another certain something going around (and I’ve heard it presents very “cold-like” in vaccinated people like myself) I got really paranoid and went in for testing. Now that the results are back negative and I know it’s just an awful head cold brought out by the massively poor air quality around here due to forest fires, I feel I can at least relax a little bit, and actually take some enjoyment in hot tea.

I don’t really need honey in this (I like the tart lemon and warm ginger and it feels great on my throat), but for that added “coating” quality while sick, a spoonful of honey in a cup of this, teabag left swimming indefinitely, has been hitting the spot.

Yeah, nasty cold that tests covid neg is going around here, too. Feel better!

Martin Bednář

I feel you! Having cold symptoms which are actually same to C-19 ones, better to get tested and happy to hear they are negative!

mrmopar

Hopefully it is the latter of the two. Be well and be sure to rest.

Glad you don’t have that other annoying thing.

Its a rainy day, and rainy days are great for tea. And I just so happen to have a lot of this to drink.
I’m also nursing the worlds smallest cough, so this tea is good. My brain has somehow sorted this tea into an idea “drink when sick” blend, so I’m hoping it can curb sickness.
Its got a little kick of ginger, and a little dash of juicy lemon, but mostly its hot water. That’s ok, I think. I think that’s the point here, and, if so, its nailing it.

I have absolutely no idea where this teabag came from, but there it was in my little wooden box waiting for me to discover it.

At any rate, it was a pleasant evening discovery. Bigelow’s Ginger Snappish, which is my go-to for this flavor combo, is mostly ginger and a little lemon. This is its daffodil-yellow opposite: mostly lemon with a little ginger, though the spice got stronger as I sipped it bag-in-cup.

Now, if I can just remember where I got it…

Indigobloom

Sounds yummy. like lemon rind, or lemon sour?

gmathis

Let’s go with lemon rind, because I enjoyed it—I don’t enjoy sour tea :)

Indigobloom

haha I do if it isn’t paired with certain other flavours. mostly metallic ones, when it comes to tea

Indigobloom

I have a lemon tea that is pretty sour. I’m thinking mixed with orange slices iced in the summer…

gmathis

That does sound nice!

This is perfect for when you have a sore throat and you’re not feeling very well. To be quite honest with you yes its a bagged but it really does the trick. One box will last you awhile.
