Ginger Peach (White)

I really want to find some white teas that I like and I found this lurking in the back of my cupboard. I can’t remember when I bought this. These are teabags, and when I opened up the can to take a whiff it is an overwhelming artifical peach smell. Really it reminds me of paint drying.

I followed the instructions on the tin and steeped it for around 45 seconds with nearly boiling water. I am sorry to report that this is just really awful and it isn’t cheap either… I can’t make myself finish it off. No doubt it is going into the compost. I really like ginger but I think there is something about this peach flavoring that is really not for me. I do like the white peach tea from Rishi so it isn’t like I’m totally biased against fruit or anything. blecch.

I didn’t realize I had tried this one before. It smells good. If steeped per the instructions it tastes good. A light peachy white tea with a light bite of ginger. The bag will steep twice. If you are a bagged tea drinker this is pretty good. The downside for loose leaf drinkers is you can taste the paper. Not horribly but more than I notice with most.

Thank you Ellen for sending a few sample bags of this tea. It smells so rich and peachy steeping. I can smell the warm ginger. Tasting the tea, I think I either steeped it to long, or am getting to much of a taste from the bag, or there is just something off with it. It smells so lovely, but it tastes a bit cardboardy. I steeped for 2 minutes, but thinking maybe I should only do one. I will hold off rating for now and just enjoy the scent a little longer before I dump the cup.

I just got this tea the other day. Tonight I tried it, first the way the packaging recommends you have it (steeped with almost boiling water for 30-60) seconds. Nice, but seemed like a waste of a perfectly good tea bag, so I popped it into the other mug of already steeping ginger peach. That puppy sat for a good 15 minutes or more, and it was SO tasty. I guess the suggested prep method is just a guideline after all, but I had to try it that way at least once. I may have a new favorite. We’ll see tomorrow when I make myself a cup with one tea bag and steep it for my normal 5 minutes. ;)

Oh yeah. That’s a good one brewed the same way I brew the black Ginger Peach. Awesome! Next time I think I’ll order the red Ginger Peach!

Smells great, but the flavor is a little bit too peachy for my taste, I would’ve liked more ginger

Pulled this one from the cupboard. I really like their Ginger Peach Black so should like is one. I used one bag for about 10oz and it tastes good, but weak.

Before I give this a number I’m going to make a second cup and use two bags.
