Coconut Crème

Enjoying a big fat mug of this tea. It’s been so long since I’ve had it! It just wasn’t a flavor I was drawn to during the colder months, but now that it’s warming up, it’s hitting the spot! Next time I will ice this! Can’t wait!!

Mmm… So good! I’ve had this twice now and it was delicious both times. It also re-steeped well. I added a little bit of rock sugar (during the second steep the first time, and only during the first steep the second time) and the sweetness is a nice addition but not necessary. The coconut flavor is strong and, in my opinion, extremely good.

This tea is decent. I shouldn’t have had anything after the amazingness that was Coconut Cocoa I’m thinking. I’m getting coconut initially but also a bit of a bizarre taste that I’m not quite sure what to make of.

Just like the butterscotch, I’m about to have a lot more of this in my cupboard. I needed some tasty tea after this mornings trial. This is still tasty (whew). I usually brew 5 minutes and then the leaves are good for another brew with a few extra leaves. My second brew of this will easily ""sipdown"" this sample (I’m on my first brew right now). But as with my prior PTT note, 1oz is on its way to me soon.

I was so excited to steep this one this morning and take it to work. I am a coconut fanatic, but… im afraid this one was a miss for me. it was a very thick brew and I agree with some of the tasting reviews that it did taste a little like coconut milk and coconut water, which I am ashamed to admit, but I have no liking for either. It also had somewhat of an artificial taste to it. I really liked the white tea base though. I must try this as a cold brew though, as from what I can see from previous reviews, those that did not enjoy it hot, did however enjoy it cold so I will have to try sometime this week! and will change my rating then:) But for now, the verdict is a no, for now.

This is a very smooth and rich tea. The coconut is subtle but a lovely note. I really enjoyed this one.

I brewed this and Tealux’s Coconut Creme at the same time to compare them. The ingredients seemed very similar, and they looked the same, other than Persimmon’s tea being in smaller pieces.

Brewed at the same temp, same time, and in the same type of steeper, the results are: the Persimmon Tree’s has a creamier coconut taste and richer mouth feel. I really like both, but I think this one edges out the lighter Tealux’s by a bit.

I’m glad I compared them before I drank DTs Cinnamon Heart, as I tried them again after and all I could taste was cinnamon. I need something to cleanse my palate.

This is a very pretty and colorful pre-steep and has a smell and taste that’s a good balance of white tea and coconut. It definitely achieves what it sets out to do! Unfortunately, even though I’ve started really liking coconut as of late, I’m really not very into this particular iteration of it for some reason. Not rating because I feel as though my lukewarm opinion expresses too strong of a personal bias.

What I like most about this tea is the subtle smoothness of the coconut. It is sweet and fragrant and delicious (if you like coconut). The addition of the cornflower and safflower makes for a nice visual, though they add nothing to the overall taste. A simple delight, nicely done.

This is very interesting. I had heard The Persimmon Tree was very good with their coconut flavouring, and now I get why. It doesn’t taste like overly sweet coconut that you find in many desserts. It tastes just like real, fresh coconut water.

That being said, I do like the overly sweet coconut taste from desserts. But this is unique and I really like it. Very smooth, very light, and you can still taste the white tea base which is awesome. Yes, very interesting indeed !
