Smells and taste like a peanut butter cup! I don’t add sugar to my tea so my first cup of this is a little lacking in true peanut butter cup flavor (the sugar REALLY brings out the flavor). But even without sugar this is a great tea. I taste more peanut butter and almond than chocolate. Would totally buy this again.

This tea grew on me after many tries, from being initially repulsed to feeling sad to see it go away with the fall collection. It claims to have chocolate flavours in it which I did not detect at any point, and once I learned to view it simply as a peanut butter tea, I enjoyed it much more. It is not cakey or dessert-like at all; it is nutty and earthy and bold. An enjoyable blend that suffers from poor naming choices.

Sad sip down. This was one of my favorites from the Fall Collection. Oh David…why so cruel to be so far away??

I like this one. I like it even more when mixed with Chocolate Macaroon, suggested by a steepsterite. Full of win. I hope this one crosses your path again.

I attended the wedding of a very dear friend last night, and she served about 30 tyeps of Davids tea there, which was such an awesome touch.

Given that I’d never tried this, I thought I’d give it a go. Aside from how long I let it steep, and even that was an approximation at best, I didn’t have much control over the brewing parameters, so there’s that. I added a bit of milk to it, as I thought that any tea of this kind would do well with some milk. And the taste was true to that of a peanut butter cup, but there was a hint of “freshness” that you wouldn’t necessarily expect, which didn’t make it bad so much as it made it interesting (I imagine that’s the apple). Anyway, I think it’s incredibly clever of dt to make this blend without any peanuts, and it tasted fine, although I’m not sad I didn’t get any for myself. The only way I enjoy the taste of peanut butter is on toast or in an o-Henry bar.

I really like this one. Ordered 250 grams of it recently so I’m covered for awhile on my peanut butter fix.

No peanut in the ingredients, yet this totally tastes like peanut butter and chocolate! Rice milk adds creaminess but isn’t really necessary. Just be careful not to oversteep lest it get too apple-y. Plus, it’s an herbal blend so I can have it in the evenings. Win!

I’ve had this a few times now and figured today was the day for reviewing it. It’s quickly become a new favourite of mine. I’m a bit of a peanut butter junkie, I’ll admit it. I don’t keep the stuff in the house because I can literally eat it out of the jar with a spoon. If there’s ever any choice to be made with peanut butter in it, that’s the one for me. So when I heard about this tea in David’s Fall collection I knew I would be trying it. I can say that my peanut butter cravings are nicely met with this tea. There’s a wonderful creaminess to the flavour that tastes decadently rich and chocolatey. The nut base is almond instead of peanut but that doesn’t detract from it in any way. Only one tea receives a 100 from me (Stormy Night by David’s Tea), but this one comes close. I liked it enough to order 250 grams for the winter.

I don’t know what compels me about this tea, but I can’t put it down- as much as it smells like a peanut butter cup, it fails to deliver in flavor, and yet, I just adore it. It’s a diluted version of its candy counterpart but still works in an alchemistic way. Almonds and fruit work together here better than any vegan candy ever could, I suppose.

I do not like peanut butter at all, so I was wary in trying this one. The smell was little off-putting, but I made a cup of it nonetheless. It wasn’t terrible, and there was a real strong almond flavour I got out of it, but it isn’t enough to make me buy this one again.

Had this as a latte and though it smelled just like a peanut butter cup, the taste left something to be desired. It was so thin and weirdly earthy that I ended up dumping out most of the cup :(

There was a free shipping promo so I bought this and a clearance hand cream. Wish I hadn’t wasted the money. In no way does this remind me of peanut butter cups – it’s nutty but with barely any chocolate and it is so bland, even though I put in extra tea. I gave up on it hot and let it cool before trying again, so nothing. Even the dry leaf doesn’t remind me of peanut butter cups.
