Sipdown! (71)

Another one from Courtney!

This is a fairly tasty one. I love dark fruit-flavored black teas, especially with blueberry. And this has a nice dark, syrupy-sweet berry flavor to it with a lot of rich jamminess.

I will say, the blackcurrant is definitely the strongest one here and it comes off a little bit candylike? It reminds me of these powdery sort of cassis candies that I’ve tried before. I do enjoy blackcurrant, but I find it nicer when there’s some tartness to it, like in blackcurrant jam.

So I wish there was more blueberry and blackberry here. But still enjoyable! Still searching for the perfect blueberry black tea… ;)

Enjoying this tea as I work away at my final ecology paper and listen to the covid livestream in the background.

This tea is so jammy and delicious. The black currant is always a but more forward than the blueberry as it cools, but I try to drink this one when it’s fairly hot because I think the blueberry is at least even then and I love that. Many of the DF teas also have a bit of a perfume-y quality, and this tea escapes that which also brings me joy.

Now I’m just craving a blueberry maple tea, which is just so east coast of me.

Yummm blueberry maple! Send me some! ;)

Courtney

Hahah I have to find some first! I’m still searching for the perfect maple tea, now I’ll also search for blueberry maple.

Your comment about the maritime a and blueberries instantly made me think of the blueberry beer at the Pump House in Moncton. Old work layover memory. It’s been awhile since I’ve been there.

Courtney

Ooh, I haven’t been there yyz, but I’ll have to check it out (time permitting) next time I’m home! There are always good (and unique) blueberry items to be found around the Maritimes!

This has flavors of blackberry, black current and blueberry (which is not a black fruit!) Usually I don’t care much for blueberry flavored things, but this blend tasted more of blueberry than the others. And surprise – I liked it!

Uniquity

Oooh, that sounds very appealing!

Stephanie

I really like black currant. Yum.
