Another tea I have been avoiding drinking. But, I’m sick and I thought a nice citrusy tea would be nice. This is not the nice citrusy tea I wanted. It doesn’t have any stevia on the ingredient list, but it sure tastes like it. The citrus is boring and forgettable. Meh.

Thanks everyone! Thankfully it’s just a cold, so nothing too serious. Lots of tea is helping!

Sipdown! (1 | 74)

Yay, first sipdown of February! ❤

This month was a bit of a bust for the Bird & Blend subscription, but this was my favorite of the three teas. It’s a lemon-ginger tisane, but the lemon is so nice and strong, with a good balance of sweet and tart. The rosehip helps bring out the zing of the lemon, and the lemon myrtle adds a nice soft herbal note. I mostly taste the ginger at the end of the sip, where is adds a nice spicy warmth and tickles my throat a little bit.

It’s tasty! Very enjoyable zippy lemon tisane for the evening. I’m glad at least one of these teas spoke to me!

It looks like their February box has some pancake teas, and I’m slightly considering subscribing for just one month to get them.

I got an email yesterday that they’re revamping their subscription system starting in March, and adding stuff like skipping/pausing and adding other teas to save on shipping.

That newsletter made me happy yesterday Cameron B., certainly a good idea to able pause it, adding tea, or just simple shipping date.

JANUARY 2021 subscription

I gave myself a ban of opening a new tea pouches, if I have some same style opened. But I had made exception today, as I saw this with ENERGY sticker on B&B website.

I was honestly surprised, because it’s caffeine-free herbal, but decided to brew it anyway. I had quite a strong headache, so, lemon and ginger couldn’t hurt. And I was terribly tired.

Well, maybe I have been expecting something slightly different. Some twist on this classic herbal blend. Nope of that today. Maybe my headache is affecting me; I wouldn’t be surprised. I hate migraines. Well, who loves them, huh?

It was quite simple, enjoyable and the ginger wasn’t much fiery at all. But certainly prominent in taste. A bit on sweet side — probably apples in mellowed the taste.

Low rating given, because, it doesn’t bring anything new to me. Perfectly drinkable, but a bit boring.

All of them this month were rather boring, weren’t they? I haven’t tried this one yet!

So it didn’t alleviate your headache? Caffeine IS recommended for migraines so maybe some strong, black tea would help.

Courtney 4 years ago

I hope your headache has started to feel better! And I hope your exam went smoothly yesterday. :)

Indeed they were. I have hoped for some typical B&B twist here, but nada. Relax — I bought it in Boxing day sale, because I thought it won’t never made to subscription and here we are… and third, another relaxing blend? Why? And I am not even looking forward to try that one.

White Antlers: Well, it didn’t. I took some pill, maybe I am just tired of all the learning and watching the screens. I would love to give myself a digital detox for a week, or at least a few days. Can’t!

Courtney: It went that smooth, I haven’t said a single proper sentence. Terrible fail, she asked some topics I never heard of, and one was so complex I though she will never ask… Well, too bad. Re-sit on Monday.

Aww-I can understand your online overload, Martin. I hope you can take a break after exams.

Sounds like it’s been one of those weeks. I hope you can take some time away from your computer soon.

I think my entire house could use a digital detox!
Best of luck on your exams!
