68 Tasting Notes
Love this tea! I bought a big bag of it on sale after receiving a sample of it in a previous Mighty Leaf order. Usually I am not big on coconut but this is a good “unwinding” tea. The taste rolls off the tongue really smooth-like. The scent is great, too. Subtle and soft.
Preparation
I tried this tea while at Nordstrom Cafe and liked it enough to buy 100 foil packs (on sale!) from Mighty Leaf’s website. This is the best bagged chai tea I’ve had to date. It actually tastes spicy without having to simmer it with additional spices! Drinking it right now with milk and pepper honey. Prominent spice seems to be anise, so if you are adverse to that, sample before you buy. I can’t wait to steep this tea with fresh ginger, cardamom, cinnamon sticks, and peppercorns!
Preparation
I purchased this tea on a whim while at Wegmans. I kind of regret only buying $0.84 worth! I normally don’t drink pu-erh because it reminds me of drinking dirt, but this one was fairly nice. I taste the orange when it hits my tongue, but it’s the ginger that’s the predominant flavor in this tea. It goes down spicy and warms the throat. It’s good for the morning but I also found it excellent after a large meal or if I was feeling under the weather.
