A light, crisp green tea. Directions recommend 2 minutes steep time, so this may be the reason for the mild flavor. This might be great for people that want a milder green tea.

This tastes very floral as is typical of Chrysanthemum teas. Less intense and smoother than other Chrysanthemum teas so I’ve had in Korea so I think its possibly higher quality petals.

If you are drinking this for health reasons, I’d recommend trying this one as it does taste a bit better than other ones I’ve had.

Opening the tin, the pungent smell escapes and leaves a strong impression.

This has a tart, bright taste to it. After going through the whole tin (over time), it had an off-sweetness that I started to loathe; the flavors did not blend well.

This might taste good cold, with some sweetener and perhaps other flavors to cut down on the tartness.

This has a very strong earthy smell; reminds me of when it is raining in a forest but more intense. This carries over after steeping – has an earthy root flavor. It is being promoted as a health tea and it tastes like it. I am sure some people would enjoy the taste, but not quite what I would consider a refreshing drink. Taste wise, I would not recommend it.

A floral black tea, with a hint of fruit~ I can barely taste the vanilla. This is a nice, relaxing tea – does not have intense flavors or smells. Overall, a good tea – but I tend to drink cups of this without remembering what it tasted like.

This is a very nice rooibos tea~

The deep-sweet mango flavor complements the rooibos well. It is a mellow fruity flavor that has more presence than the rooibos but it isn’t overpowering.

On a personal note, I like the fruitiness, but I probably wouldn’t want to drink this everyday. It would be nice to drink once in a while, as a treat or break from my other rooibos/herbal teas.

Fresh Lemons!

As soon as I smelled the leaves, I was reminded of fresh cut lemons and summer lemonade. This is a nice summer tea; Natsukoi is black tea with lemons. The lemon is a bit strong, so one might feel that it is overpowering but it is a nice change to the normal everyday tea.

Overall, this is an okay herbal tea.

I generally don’t like Chai teas unless I’m making Milk tea, and I did not think this tea would taste good with Milk. This is not spicy so its okay.

I also don’t like liquorice but the blend of other herbs balances out the flavor; the ginger adds a bit of spice to offset the sweet liquorice.

For me, this will be an acquired taste but it isn’t a bad tea.

drank Thai Iced Tea Blend by Arbor Teas

I think this is a good tea. I can tell it is high quality and the taste is good; however the tea is just not agreeable with me for a couple reasons.

I really want to like this tea but the flavor is “off” from what I usually drink at restaurants. Perhaps in this case, I am better off ordering from restaurants even though I am sure the leaf quality is lower ><

I also found that this blend didn’t agree with my stomach at times; nothing major, just rumbling stomach. (I tested the tea by itself and still had gurgling stomach) I might be sensitive to one of the ingredients.

In general I don’t like spicy teas but I’ve always liked Thai Iced Tea for some reason. This is an aromatic tea with a smooth vanilla taste. I’d definitely recommend it to chai tea drinkers. It goes well with organic condensed milk, half & half, and white sugar. I experimented with raw honey and brown sugar but I definitely think white sugar is best.

I want to score this higher but I have to score this purely on taste, but don’t let that dissuade you from trying this tea. I generally don’t like chai teas, plus I have a very picky palate; additionally they have a sample of this tea for only $2 =)

I don’t have a sensitive palate but I do tend to shy away from harsh and bitter flavors. For instance, I can’t stand raw celery and olives – the smell/taste is way too intense. I find coffee to be too muddy/earthy, tea is light and crisp.

I find plain, black tea to be either too bitter or a bit too bland – unless I’m adding cream and sugar. I love flavored black teas; flavored rooibos is great as an evening drink; and light, grassy green teas are wonderful. Oolong and Pu-erh teas are good too but haven’t had as much exposure to them. White teas I’m still on the fence – one day I hope I’ll find one that I’ll like. I don’t like the spiced teas (e.g. chai)

My Grading Scale:
80-100 – Excellent Teas. These are the Teas I crave all the time, even when trying out new teas.

60-79 – Good Teas. I drink these occasionally.

50-59 – Passing Grade. These are worth a try again

Below 50 – Would not recommend, and probably will never try again
