1024 Tasting Notes
Another TassieTeaGirl sample, thank you!
This one ended up having a bit of a soapy memory for me. It’s disappointing but I suppose it must be the lavender (I thought I’d come to terms with lavender in recent times). It was quite delicate, and I managed to override the soapy notes with just a touch of honey, which made it a much more pleasant drink for me.
My favourite fruit tisane, this is seriously a dream as an iced tea. A whole hunk of grapefruit but without the tartness of the fruit, complimented by the lemongrass, hibiscus and apple. A bit of added lemon and grapefruit flavour, which is a bit of a letdown (just let the ingredients do the work, T2!). Still, I can’t fault this delicious and refreshing tisane.
I think it was only available as a summer/Christmas (Aus) promotion so I’m hoping they bring it into the standard range, because my cube is getting low!
Preparation
YUM. I managed to get enough out of my sample from TassieTeaGirl for both hot and iced, and both were brilliant! This tea is a sweet and fruity mouthful that is perfect on its own in both hot and iced forms—I honestly couldn’t recommend one over the other. A shorter steep time means a better opportunity for a second infusion.
“Green” tricked me into thinking it was a green tea until I looked it up. Green rooibos! Shut up! How exciting. Also, today was the first time I got to use TTG’s (well.. DAVIDsTEA’s) awesome iced tea method. I’ll never look back.
