253 Tasting Notes
Round 2: Sometimes with… unique teas you have to take a creative approach. I did half a teaspoon of this tea and half a teaspoon of chamomile, and double the sugar (2 teaspoons). I regretted the double sugar. However, the tea was more palatable this time.
Next up: iced! lol
Preparation
I ordered a 3.5 ounce tin of this and got it this morning. I really really wanted to like this after the big success with Tazo “Rest,” but on first sniff and taste, I’m not happy. It smells really really strong and awful. Takes me back to Adagio’s rooibos jasmine. Very perfumy. Even my cat backed away when he smelled it. On tasting it, it tastes pretty similar to the smell but not quite as bad. I’ll give it another try later today but I’m not too hopeful after this.
I just want to try a new tea and actually LIKE it, dagnabut! >_<
Preparation
I just made a cup of green and my dog backed away from it. Not as fast as he has some others but still, it’s a con for the tea when he won’t sit next to me but chooses the end of the couch instead.
I’m used to very strong and spicy ginger teas made from fresh ginger root. This tisane was surprisingly mild and ungingery o.O Tastes like orange with a hint of ginger. And by hint I mean like a smidgen or a pinch. This tea is gonna need a little help _ Tastes ok on its own really, but not what I was expecting.
Preparation
I usually just drink peppermint tea because it tastes good, but today I ate a little too much, my stomach feels like its going to explode, and I can’t stop burping. U_U Multiple websites recommended peppermint tea so I drank two cups of this. I’m still burping, but the tummy doesn’t feel quite as bad anymore.
Preparation
I’ve been sipping on a cold brew of this without sugar for the past couple of days. I’m trying to stop adding sugar to my tea, and I’ve found that its not that hard to do without it in iced tea, but in hot tea its unbearable. Hmmm, wonder why.
Also, I’m not sure if the predominate flavor in this is rose, or one of the essential oils (geranium, etc), but whatever it is, its very yummy :)
