56 Tasting Notes
Liked it much better the second time around! I tried it again plain and then as a latte. Both were really good. I’m not sure what I did to the first batch to make it so mediocre lol. Don’t know if it’s just me, but the dry leaf smells exactly like a Bounty bar? It took me a few minutes to think of what it reminded me of but it’s definitely a Bounty bar. There’s no coconut or chocolate in the blend so I find this odd. Not complaining though, it’s a good smell!
I love this tea but didn’t care for it as a latte. I think the milk is just too overpowering. Other tasting notes mention using soy or almond milk so I may try that some day. I think almond milk (assuming it tastes like almond? I’ve never tried it before!) would compliment the tea well.
This one has really grown on me! I actually ordered another 200g while on sale. I tried it as a latte and fell in love! For myself it’s not what I would consider a “dessert tea” but it’s definitely indulgent. Creamy, silky, slightly sweet, but the oat/woody/nut notes send it more to the savory side IMO. It’s a nice break from my other teas that are almost all on the sweet side. I think an iced latte would be tasty!
Tried this one again last week as a latte with a touch of maple syrup and it was delicious! The pumpkin and caramel was more noticeable this time around. Super silky and creamy. I’ve been trying more tea lattes lately and this one is among my favourites!
Really, REALLY didn’t like this tea. All I could taste was artificial sweetener with a hint of wood. Usually I’d try it with milk or something before dumping but I couldn’t do it! I don’t understand the point of adding sweeteners, especially stevia or splenda that have such strong tastes. I think the chicory/chocolate would have been interesting but the stevia just ruined it for me.
