Picked this up recently from 52teas’ (got my teas today!) because I couldn’t resist trying a pear tea. Eventually, I will find the One.
Picked a black tea to round out tonight’s cups because I figured it could maybe compensate for the unfiltered water a bit better than the two greens. I hadn’t really thought that through previously. The flavour when I opened the bag was unbelievably delicious – it smelled almost exactly like an apple fritter, except with pear tones instead of apple (so a pear fritter, but I didn’t think that would bring to mind the same imagery as apple fritter). The cinnamon is perfect and not overwhelming – I have been so averse to cinnamon in teas lately, because there’s just something to it that I dislike, but there’s none of that going on here.
Tastewise, I think the tea is pretty good, though it is tough to live up to such an amazing aroma. I did of course eat a carrot muffin just prior, so my mouth is contaminated with spices and it’s difficult for me to properly taste the flavours. Oops. The sip I did have shows promise though, but I’ll finish up this note once a) the tea’s a bit cooler, and b) my mouth is a bit less flavourful.
ETA: The flavour was good but weak. It was the perfect cinnamon pear flavour, though. I’m hoping brewing it a bit stronger/longer will help (to be fair, I wasn’t using my usual mugs, so it’s possible I underleafed.)

Ohh, you’re another one looking for pear teas. I know there are people looking for pear, and people looking for peach, but I never remember who. I’ll have to check Bayswater again as they got in a couple new ones.
Fjellrev – in a perfect world…. :D
Tealizzy – I’m still enjoying some cinnamon, but I’ve become VERY picky on it, and there’s a certain cinnamon flavour that I find completely unappealing, which didn’t bother me before. Which does rule out a bunch of fall-ish teas, sadly.
OMGsrsly – Yep, but I’m mostly piggybacking on Sil with it, instead of searching things out. I have so far been impressed with Bayswater – maybe they will pull it off at some point! I also would love a truly peach-flavoured black or oolong, but it’s not as much of a priority.
If only teas could conveniently taste how they smell…
I agree with you on the cinnamon…I’m just not craving cinnamon teas this year.

Ahh, ok. :)
