drank Earl Grey by Love is Tea (LIT)

Beleive it or not this is my first Earl Grey, well, home made anyway. I had one at the coffee shop recently but this is the first I steeped myself. And I find it lovely. Extremely mellow and relaxing. I beleive its caffinated, which gave me a lot of motivation to get things done around the house (if its not caffinated then my brain was happily tricked). I’m always stunned by how caffine in tea hits me so different then pop or coffee do. At any rate, now I’ve got an entirely new realm of teas to try now that I know I like EG’s. What fun!

drank Thai Tea by Love is Tea (LIT)

I love Thai tea at the resturant, and upon drinking this I found it to be about right. Beautiful flavor and color. First glass was drank plain, the second I added a splash of soy milk to make it a bit more like the Thai tea latte’s I’d had at the resturant. Lovely stuff. The smell in the bag is actually rather tame compared to the flavor in the glass. I’ll be getting more of this soon.

This smelled amazing both in the cup and in the sample baggy. I loved the flavor though I could have a more potently nutty flavor and I’d love it. The smell is a bit of a tease compared to how potent the flavor was. And upon the second attempt to steep the leaves, I got very little flavor. I’m not sure if that was the tea itself or the fact that I left it steeping for longer then intended.

drank Cherry by Love is Tea (LIT)

A soft cherry flavor, with an overwhelming cherry scent. I’m a huge fan of cherry and I w ent into this with high expectations. I wasn’t let down, though I’d love for it to be more cherry, or possibly a cherry almond blend to be made because god would that be amazing. I’m pleased to have gotten this in a trade with the lovely yssah.

I don’t know if you like rooibos but if you do Zen Tea has a nice almond marzipan rooibos with strong cherry notes and they have cheap shipping to the US.

I added this tea simply so I can say how impressed with it I am. With Peach and Mango in the flavor notes I assumed I would, but the combination togeter tastes and smells more like lychee then either of the other two. Its lovely subtle flavor and an amazing scent make it a very relaxing drink. Well done Della Terra!

This is nice, just strawberry enough to be sweet but not overwhelmingly fruity. The scent is nice, and as someone who’s not terribly fond of Green teas in general, this one is an exception to the rule. I got it as a free sample with an order and its the one I reordered.

This tea is interesting in a very good way. The smell is almost candylike. It reminds me of something from my childhood I can’t quite place. All mango though, possibly one of the Tropical Starburst candies? When you drink it you get far less of the fruit and more of the tea flavor. Not a bad thing for me, as the scent could’ve made it taste like juice too easily. But all together, I’m happy I got this. It would probably make an AMAZING iced tea.

I was VERY leery of this tea on seeing the name. Chocolate pie yes, Pumpkin pie, yes. Both together…seems a bit rich for my blood. The tea in the bag smells pretty good, very ‘crusty’ which suprised me as pumpkin is such a strong scent. But it wasn’t a bad thing. In the cup, its really really nice and mild compared to what I’d expected. Drinking it luke warm makes all of the flavors blend well, but I still don’t get much chocolate. That is not a bad thing because the hint that IS there is lovely.

Detroiter, tea drinker, fangirl pagan. Ask away.

Interested in trying any and all teas I haven’t tried. Variety is the spice of life and the bane of my existance. If I have the tea to trade, I’m more then willing to swap.

Loves : Flavored Blacks, Honeybushs, Roobios and Herbals
On the fence : Greens
Dislikes : Smokey teas or really grassy green teas. If I want to taste grass clippings I’ll eat guacomole, not drink something thanks.
