1271 Tasting Notes
My sis told me she’s addicted to this tea – so I gave it a shot and bought 30grams.
Annnnd… uggggg. It’s very orangey, which is fine I like citrus and minty on their own, but together it was pretty weird. A bit of “you brushed your teeth not too long ago and then ate an orange” effect. It is refreshing, but just doesn’t do it for me.
I got this tea as a sample with my online order. Previously in store, I was shown it and smelled it and didn’t think about it.. but since I got the sample I made it for the hell of it…
.. and wow.. just wow… it’s very beautiful with the white flowers and the taste is a wonderful lemony (without the tart) and earthy oolong. I love taking this tea to work in my glass Libre travel mug to show off how pretty it is.
If you like lemony teas it’s worth a shot.
I think the reason I love this tea is that it reminds me growing up and my mom drinking this asian diet tea (an oolong mix) with a similar smell. Then later I drank that tea and it became my staple tea for many years.
Then I bought this tea at my first visit to DAVIDstea.. and damn.. it kicked that tea I grew up on in the face! Much stronger ginger scent and earthy. Great to sip on after a meal.
Hot Damn! This tea is crazy good!
I wasn’t even planning on buying it! I sniffed it at the store and was like “hmm.. Terry’s Chocolate Orange” and decided last minute to get 30 grams to try.
Then I go to work with it in my Libre glass and do a great job in not picking out the chocolate curls and nibbing on them. The tea steeps this crazy black coffee appearance.
Drinking it, it’s a freaking Terry’s Chocolate Orange! OMG! Piles of chocolate and hint of orange with a base of earthy rich tea. It’s a wonderful combination!
With that said, I went crazy and ordered lots more to last me for awhile. Yum! <3 <3
One of my favourites at DAVIDsTea! I purchased 30grams of it to try (my usual method to buying tea) before work and it steeped into a beautiful pink in my Libre travel mug at work later that day.
It’s slightly sweet, refreshing, melony, citrusy and a little tart as you sip it down. Very lovely!
After work that day at around 2am I woke up and I really wanted more Goji Pop tea! I actually got up and made more! <3 Then I promptly drank though my 30gram stash and made an emergency trip to get more before I went on vacation. Love this tea!
The smell of this tea is amazing – Apple Pie with even the freaking crust!
Just the smell alone is freaking WOW.
Steeped… ehhhh… one time I had it taste amazing – just like how it smelled – liquid apple pie with crust. The other times I drank it it was just tart apple water. I discovered it works better with a short steeping time, like what is suggested on the label, but it is still a hit and miss.
I still love it though. And my fiance who hates tea (but loves pie) loves smelling it.
Screw Starbucks pumpkin spice latte… this tea is WAY MORE PUMPKINY TASTEY and not expensive Starbucks.
Smells amazing, like pumpkin pie and spices. Tastes great – pumpkiny and spicey. I prefer it straight hot with nothing in it, but it’s pretty amazing steeped strong as a soy latte with some honey. Hot damn, I bought a 100g tin right off the bat, and ordered more online to last me the entire year until it goes onsale again (it better! /shakes fist)
