December Sipdown Prompt – your favorite winter tea

Why did I write such a prompt? Teaheads have trouble picking a favorite tea. Favorite for the mood, for the season, for the type – there are so many favorites!

This is old faithful, the stand by, the stand-by-me and hold me up tea. The familiar aroma made me make yummy noises at my mug when I wrapped my hands around it and inhaled. My daughter said it was getting weird. Three Chinese black teas with a hint of natural toasty/smoke flavor. No additions needed but she can take it. Long live the Queen!

No one on this site has ever been weird about tea. Every time I drink my favorite yunnan I think, damn this is some good tea!

If this is weird, I embrace it!

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fifteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
