Fortnum & Mason Advent Day 24

I knew this would be today’s tea since we hadn’t run into it yet, so yesterday I made a pitcher of it, sweetened it, and set it in the fridge to cool and meld. We had Black Tea with Strawberry from the advent instead with breakfast, and saved this for lunch.

I really like this as a sweet iced tea. I did have a sip yesterday when it had cooled but it had not had time to do what my mother always called melding, a process in which sweet tea becomes tastier as the flavors inherent blend together into a smooth and balanced profile.

Today it was so nice to go with lunch. These 25 gram tins furnish plenty of tea for multiple pots (hot) or carafes (cold). It tastes a lot like jamaica. Lovely.

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fifteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
