May Sipdown Prompt – a tea with a three word name

The green base of this tea has an aroma that I find in lots of flavored greens. It is rather metallic and I suppose grassy, but sharp grassy. The aroma is not favorite and is often the reason why some greens languish on my shelves, but once made – and especially with food – they are fine. I don’t know why I have an aversion to that aroma.

The vanilla aspect of this tea, however, was heavenly. I had this with breakfast, as flavored greens with this base usually go really well with food to me. It was fine and I look forward to the vanilla part of this tea, although the rose was absent for me.

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fifteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
