193 Tasting Notes
Wow! I mean WOW. 2 reasons. I cant believe im the first person to review this tea, didnt think that would ever happen. Second, this tea is amazing. Very natural, delicious black currant flavour. I have been looking forward to trying this tea since the fall tea menu came out and it did not disappoint. When I smelled this tea I was reminded why I have a problem with david’s rooibos teas: it smells slightly minty or maybe a little bit like menthol, and usually tastes like it too. I can sort of taste it in this one, but only very faintly and not enough to ruin the great flavour of this tea.
This was the only SBT I got with my 52 teas order and now I wish I had ordered a couple more, namely watermelon. I actually forgot about this and oversteeped it so it’s a tad strong, but it’s still really good. I love cola flavour and this doesn’t disappoint. Though, I do not taste the lime, maybe that’s due to the black tea being so strong. I can taste maybe a hint of citrus. I’m looking forward to trying more of the SBT’s!
My friend had me buy this tea for her during my recent trip to teavana and it smelled so good at the store, I almost bought some too, but I decided just to try some of hers instead. It has such a yummy strawberry scent, like strawberry bubblicious gum. I was so excited to try it, but the excitement left upon my first sip. YUCK! The strawberry flavour is awful! Very artificial and perfumey. I ended up dumping half of the cup out which I rarely do. I will stick to my David’s Love Tea #7 :)
I bought this a while ago as part of David’s 2 for 5 deal. I was buying another tea I really wanted and this was just a careless decision because I wanted the deal, I think I must not have liked any of the other teas offered.
I have been putting off trying this because the ingredients list does not intrigue me. It seems like a random combination of flavours just thrown together with no thought. But I read some reviews and one said that it was really nutty, and I like nutty teas. So I finally gave it a try today and that review was right, it is very nutty! I wouldn’t say it tastes like almond even though that is the only nut in there, its just a general nutty flavour. There’s other flavours in there that I can’t quite pinpoint. Citrus, VERY faint cocoa, and chamomile, even though there is no chamomile. I do not taste licorice, which is good because I didn’t think it would go well with the other flavours.
I was pleasantly surprised by this tea. I wasn’t expecting much. In fact, I was expecting to not like it at all, but it was delicious!
So I thought that teavana wasn’t my thing, but I seem to like their herbals. This is the second herbal I have tried out of my recent Teavana purchase and I liked them both. It’s not as good as chocolate bananas foster, but still pretty good. It smells a lot stronger than it tastes. I found it a little watery, but does have a juicy peach flavour reminiscent of fountain peach juice.
I had my parents over for the weekend and my dad chose this as the tea he wanted to try so I had some with him as I hadn’t tried it yet either. When I took my first sip sans sweetener I told my dad I had ruined it as there wasn’t much flavour and it was a tad vegetal. But he asked to try a sip and he said he liked it so I poured both our cups. I added agave to mine as I always do and that seemed to improve the flavour. But as the cup cooled, something magical happened. This tea is amazing. It’s a very subtle flavour, I usually like mine strong, but it totally works. It’s mostly sweet with a hint of cotton candy. Love it.
This tea reminds me a lot of copabanana, but with chocolate in it, though it’s not as creamy as I thought it would be or I would like it to be. It’s really sweet but that’s a good thing to me, don’t have to add as much agave which I recently read is really bad for your liver:( Might have to switch back to stevia soon, not looking forward to that. I really like this tea and can see myself buying it again, I’m always on the hunt for a good herbal.
