38 Tasting Notes
Used two teaspoons worth of the loose tea in my Teaopia steeper (12 or 14oz?). First tastes find it very weak. Disappointed. I was cautious about putting too much in because of making the black tea part too strong, but I can’t taste much. Will try three teaspoons next time. Added two teaspoons of agave nectar, which makes the weak steeping drinkable.
ETA: blends well with the Read My Lips blend.
Preparation
Good, but not fabulous. Perhaps as some have done, I will add some heated coconut milk to it. Added a bit of agave nectar. Not finding the black tea base all that strong. Used 2 heaping tsps of the base tea in my Teaopia loose tea maker (which I love).
Preparation
I love Earl Grey (the Twinnings brand) and the Mighty Leaf Vanilla Black tea, and this one is a combo of both. It’s more like the Vanilla Black, really, as the bergamot is a bit overwhelmed by the vanilla. I don’t mind however.
Preparation
This combo of mint and a chai-like blend is quite nice. I definitely get the first three ingredients: cardamom, ginger and peppermint. Not really getting the sweetness of the licorice root or fennel, but oh well. Tasty.
Oh, and I used 2 heaping tsps, rather than the 1 1/2 recommended.
Preparation
I love my chai teas, with either a rooibos or black base. This one, as another noted, is rather weak when brewed in the 1 1/2 tsp suggested amount of dry tea. I will do an extra teaspoon next time. A little weak, but nice. Not fabulous this first time ’round.
Preparation
My first time buying/using/drinking from Teaopia. Also bought their “Tea Master” – very cool. I love chocolate, love mint, love rooibos. This is minty (yay!), but not getting much of the chocolate (pieces that melt in the hot water), and not much of the rooibos. Added some coconut milk to creamy it up, and some coconut sugar to sweeten. Pretty good, though I’m still searching for an amazing chocolate tea – if such thing exists.
