570 Tasting Notes
Mmmmm. Light flavour, even if I’m not getting the flowery taste others have mentioned. Very warming and soothing. Will need a few more drinks before I decide if I’m going to stock up on it or not – but a straight oolong that’s this tasty for this price, I can’t pass up.
Preparation
Tried this in-store today. I still think they boil the water too hot so the green got a little scalded, but otherwise it was tasty! The lime taste is not as bold as the smell – I was expecting to be hit in the mouth with limeade and totally wasn’t. A smooth, earthy drink with a lime tang that isn’t too sweet. Leaves a lingering aftertaste that reminds me of summer and carnivals, but I can’t quite put my finger on exact what it is. May pick up a bag of this, I haven’t quite decided.
Saved the bag, so I think I’ll go for another steep.
Preparation
I think I scorched the leaves the last time, because the flavour was very bitter and dry. This time, however, it was absolutely delicious. This is such a calm, warming tea. I love the smokiness of the green tea and walnuts with just that bit of sweetness from the fruit. Bumped up my rating and will be indulging more often.
Preparation
I’m not as crazy about this as I was the first time, but better than the last cup. It all depends on how much licorice I get in my cup. Too much and it’s overpoweringly sweet. Still, excellent headache remedy.
