I really tried to like this tea, but the vanilla just leaves an aftertaste I can’t get used to. The black tea seems average, and the vanilla makes it floral, but not natural tasting. I do like the other teas I got from Ku Cha, so I won’t judge this tea house by this one tea I don’t like

Chocolatey malty smoothness in a cup. I am only on my first steeping and I am very impressed by this tea. Thanks Beelicious for this in my Secret Pumpkin box!
The second and third steeps are good too, just a bit less intense, still smooth and malty.

I got two samples of this tea, and I first tried a basket in cup brew that was just ok. The other sample I brewed gong fu and my first steep was my favorite, chocolatey, smooth, yummy. Subsequent steeps lose the chocolate, but are replaced by a smooth woodsy taste. An enjoyable cup of shou.

Nutty, thick, rich cup of tea that can be steeped 3 times. Syrup notes at the end and smoothness throughout. All this and cute squirrels on the package!

My boyfriend got this as a sample when he bought me some tea ware as a Valentine’s gift. It was a good sized sample and I picked a large chunk to taste today. I might try lower water temp on the next tasting. It is sweet, and a little acidic, with some bitterness arriving by the third steep. Light in the cup and in the mouth, an everyday cup of sheng

I am not a big fan of flavored tea, but this was awesome! Very creamy banana to begin, with a bit of walnut. Almost like a banana cream pie, but not quite so sweet. Multiple resteeps possible, and the butterscotch didn’t show up until the third steep.

This is a fair example of LS that is smoky smelling and smoking tasting. I wouldn’t say this is anything special, but a nice weekday tea for a morning pick me up. I can get it from the bulk tea at the local gourmet food market and is a staple in my cupboard when I don’t feel like it’s a pu-erh morning.

I’m not a big fan of white tea, and this one was just not complex enough for me. I only tried two steepings, so I will try a few more with the second pouch. There were a few sweet notes, but not enough to keep me interested.

A very nice example of a malty Assam without bitterness. But it doesn’t have a whole lot of maltyness or coppery metallic taste either. The second steep tasted much like the first. An enjoyable cup of tea but not one I’d need in my tea cupboard
