42 Tasting Notes
This WAS my favourite tea in the store, until I discovered Apple Pie Oolong. ;) The flavours are VERY similar, but Apple Pie is slightly more creamy which is why it wins for me.
In any case, this tea is smooth and delicious. It’s not gonna taste as flavoured as it smells, which is fine because oolong doesn’t need a strong over-powering flavour. Perfect on it’s own, don’t add anything to this.
Unfortunately pretty bland on its own. The flavour doesn’t really come through. However, if you want a plain green tea with a SLIGHT creaminess, then this tea will do the trick.
Here’s the shocker, though.
Get this as a latte with half-chocolate syrup. (Half the pumps than a normal latte). I swear…. wtf. As weird as it sounds, it’s heaven in a cup.
This tea is definitely more about looks and the gimmick. Flavor isn’t great. It’s too weak when you just make it, and waaaaay too bitter after it’s been left for a bit.
It makes a quirky gift, but I’d say stick to loose jasmine and green teas.
I avoided this tea like the black plague for the longest time because:
A) I hate apple pie.
B) I hate fruit in my tea.
C) I dislike the smell of it.
But it was on sample one day and I was surprised at how DELICIOUS it is! It tastes like a strong oolong with a hint of nuts and vanilla. So if you’re hoping for an apple pie flavour you will be disappointed, but go into it with an open mind and you’ll enjoy it!
This tea is perfect plain, don’t add anything to it.
Baked Apple Pie Oolong has become an addiction for me. I need at least one cup of it a day. It’s completely replaced Creamy Nut Oolong as my favourite tea ever.
