42 Tasting Notes
This… is Forever Nuts from David’s Tea. No, actually. Same ingredients, same exact flavor.
So obviously this tea is DELICIOUS, but I’m wondering how they got away with this… lol! Coincidence?
Anyway, like Forever Nuts, steep this tea twice as long as recommended. It’s yummy!
I am told this is actually a blend from Teaopia that Teavana is keeping just for the season. So if there was stealing done, it was done by Teaopia. Not that I am defending Teavana.
Nope, Teaopia didn’t have this tea or anything remotely similar.
Caramel Almond Amaretti is one of Teavana’s 17 new “Global Treasures” teas, which is company wide in the USA as well. The Teaopia teas are only being kept in Canada.
Hmm okay my informant must have misinformed. Can you confirm whether the twelve blends they have included in this set are Teopia teas? http://www.teavana.com/tea-gift-center/tea-gift-sets/p/12-holidays-of-tea-gift-set
Yep I did! I’ve worked at Teaopia for a year before Teavana so I’m pretty familiar with the teas.
To answer your question, the 12 Holidays Set aren’t Teaopia teas either.
Teavana is keeping 20 Teaopia teas on the walls in Canadian stores. Currently they’re in their Teaopia tins on the bottom positions of the tea wall but I’ve heard they’re going to get Teavana tins and be integrated eventually.
Teavana also has 15 teas that are exactly the same as Teaopia teas. (eg. English Breakfast)
The Teaopia teas Teavana is keeping in Canada:
Slim and Slender, Sleep Well, Jiagulan, Mudslide, Creamy Nut Oolong, Love Spell, Spring Morning, Calming, Summer Breeze, Cleansing, Goji Green, Pomegranate Green, Fit Active, Dragonheart, Cactus Fig, Coconut Cream, Fresh Lemon Zest, Caramelissimo, Herbal Chai and Iced Princess.
I don’t know how to feel any more! You know how Teavana ia buying out Teaopia? They tested this tea to see if they wanted to keep it and found out that it IS flavored! Despite the fact that staff had been told it was just picked at a certain time of year to be this creamy. That is true for high quality milk oolongs… but not this one. On top of that, it contains dairy!
I still love this tea and don’t care about milk flavoring… but why the lies? :(
Mann… I did not think I’d like this, in fact.. I had no intention of looking at this tea at all after looking at the ingredients.
I’m not a huge fan of white tea, I don’t like berries in my tea… and I HATE licorice.
The staff member at David’s took it off the wall and asked me to smell it before I could even protest and… Ok, hey.. that smells pretty good.. Uh, I guess I’ll get a few grams to try it..
Oh my god. Definitely a new favorite. It’s nutty, creamy and slightly fruity. It’s also thick, and not watery and weak like white tea normally is. (IMO…) I think the cocoa adds the thickness. I don’t taste the licorice, thankfully. Just a nice, nutty white tea. :)
OMG! I have finally found a Pu-Erh that doesn’t taste completely of fish food!
The cinnamon is indeed over-powering as previous tasters have mentioned.. But I ADORE cinnamon. I can literally inhale the stuff all day. (And you’ll feel like it. The tea is literally gritty from cinnamon.) I can see why most people don’t like it, but so far I’m loving it!
Now I can enjoy the health benefits of Pu-Erh and not actually taste it! victory dance
Not quite as nutty as I was hoping..
BUT IT’S DELICIOUS~ Believe the hype.
I can’t even describe the flavor. It’s amazing. Steeped, it smells like Apple Jacks cereal. A little nutty, but more beetroot and cinnamon. Not even too heavy on the apple. It tastes like the crumble on an apple crumble pie.
My only issue is that I’ve never really understood the point of herbal teas unless they have major health benefits.. and this one really doesn’t. I think I’m going to use this as a mixer with a plain tea. :)
Yummy! A little too sweet for me to drink all the time, but it makes a nice treat.
I definitely taste the honeybush before the maple, but that’s fine.
Honeybush is good for menstrual regulation and headaches, and now I’ve finally found a honeybush tea that I like! :)
