19 Tasting Notes
My girlfriend was transferring this from a bag to a jar, and it smelled so good I had to try it immediately. Unfortunately, the tea couldn’t live up to the smell. It’s very light on the palate and and the flavor is forgettable. I don’t really taste anything tropical. There is a nice cinnamon aftertaste, but it seems out of place without any complementary flavor before it.
I have a feeling this would taste A LOT better iced.
Preparation
Very light-bodied and very tasty, but won’t cut it if you’re in the mood more something more substantial. This one doesn’t hang around on your palate for very long.
I have the “loose leaf” version that comes in silk tea bags, and just left the bag in. I refilled the cup once with almost boiling water. The body was comparable to the first glass, but the fruitiness was much less noticeable.
Preparation
Lemony citrus on the nose – something bergamot like, but not what I’m used to in Earl Grey. Lemon comes through on the palate, but is not at all over powering. Well balanced and refreshingly brisk. There’s a creamy, vanilla-y after taste that hangs around for a bit. I added some raw sugar this time, but will likely try without next.
Edit: Also makes a very good iced tea.
