wow, thats the lowest rating I’ve seen on here…

donkeyteaarrrraugh

you’re obviously not a horse rider, as we often end up with dirt/poop everywhere when we fall off….especially if you fall off with your mouth open, yelling an expletive. I will not be ordering this buck off tea. thank you for the warning. :)

Hahah yeah, no, donkeytiara! I live in the country, surrounded by horses, and that’s enough for me! I definitely don’t need to have interaction with them-and especially not after that comment-sounds horrible! XD

Lewis and Clark TTB #8

This is a bit lighter than many Yunnans, but I really love the flavor. Wood and leather and a touch of earth. Rich and deep and complex. Smooth and round, with a long, deep finish. Another review mentioned bitterness; I am very sensitive to bitterness and didn’t detect more than a trace.

The taste corresponds perfectly with the price point on YS: between an ordinary Yunnan and one of the top (or should I say tip) “golden” teas. Fair value.

Lewis & Clark Traveling Teabox – Tea #15

I just lost the note for this one too. Sigh. This one is much different from the other 58 I had the other day. Much more complex but to be fair, I did use two teaspoons rather than one this time. The flavor is so deep like unsweetened chocolate, dry like a wine. Kind of like a dragon pearl. The color of the cup actually has the color of wine. The second steep has that oversteeped mulchy flavor.. which is funny as the shape of these leaves actually remind me of mulch/wood chips… they just have a black with hints of gold color. The first steep was delicious though. Probably my fault on the second steep.
Steep #1 // 2 tsps // few min after boiling // 3 min
Steep #2 // just boiled // 4+min

I probably should have more to say about this one, but I’ve had a rough time with tea this morning! I had to be out the door at 9am to go play a wedding, so I started a cup of this one, & forgot to set the timer. I was making breakfast, changing a broken string, & other multitasking activities, so it probably steeped 10 minutes. Needless to say, it was bitter, so it was dumped. I made another cup, took a sip too soon & burnt my tongue, loaded my harp, changed into my gig clothes, & it was tasty, but lukewarm at that point.
I got back from the wedding & made a third cup, and then sat with it until it was cool enough to sip. It’s quite good. Nicely malty, the floral aspect is a little more on the savory side, just a little bitterness, with a nice milky kind of mouth.

I am suffering from not enough tea, & I need food too. The only real decision I have to make is what teas I’m taking to Tony’s house & which pjs I want to spend the next 36 hours in.
