Just as the name implies, one sip of this tea and you will instantly be taken to Thanksgiving when a sweet potato pie is made and topped with Marshmallows. A full flavored tea with hints of cinnamon, ginger and vanilla this tea will brew up a memory of sweet potato pies of your past holidays. Many people add cream or milk to further enhance the flavor and feel of this tea.
Best if steeped for 3 minutes at 212°
Ingredients: Black tea with cinnamon bark, ginger root, marigold flowers and lightly infused with sweet potato flavors.

I think it’s because they’re “sweet” lol However this tea is really nice! It reminds me of the sort of pumpkin spice theme that happens around this time, but it’s not pumpkin, it’s more sweet potato. The base is still present, and the flavours blend together really well. I couldn’t drink this all the time, but this is quite good. Makes me wonder how it would fare as a latte! Thanks for sharing dexter!
I’ll admit it, I’ve become pessimistic about teas that claim these types of flavors. In my experience they usually disappoint. My other issue is I’m not really quite sure what sweet potato pie should be. I’m envisioning that sweet potato casserole that’s oozing with brown sugar, smothered with marshmallows on the Thanksgiving table. That’s not what this is.
I’m very pleased to report that I was wrong in both of these assumptions. This tastes like sweet potatoes. I almost can’t believe it, but that’s the prodominent flavor, then there are subtle chai (or pumpkin pie) spices in the back ground. The spices are there, but they are not overwhelming the potato flavor. This is really well balanced for me, even the spices are nicely balanced. The only negative I have is that it’s not sweet enough. This could really use some sweetness. Next time I drink this I’m going to thow in some brown sugar, I think that’s what it’s missing.
I’m 2 for 2 so for teas from The TeaCupany. Can’t wait to try more of them.
Glad to here this one didn’t disappoint! After seeing your review of Choconut Mate yesterday and hearing how great their service was, I went and checked out their website – this one and Cucumber White were the two I was most interested in! Might need to consider an order now!
I did order cucumber white too – how could you not. I have 13 total to try. Working my way though them.
Don’t work yourself too hard ;) Just wait until you get through all the ones you have ordered and then try out that extra sample one. Looking forward to reading more reviews as we are always looking for any type of feedback!

The spices aren’t overwhelming, or too chai-like, which is lovely. The sweet potato flavour is really there too. The flavours just seem to complement each other to create this awesome tea. I don’t think I could drink this all the time, but I certainly wouldn’t turn it down.
