From Teavana

This alliance of natural superfruits combines exceptionally healthy sea buckthorn berries with immunity-boosting cranberries. Together they form a powerful one-two punch of nutrients and antioxidants. Oh, and it tastes deliciously fruity and naturally sweet.

How to Prepare
Use 1 teaspoon of tea per 8oz of water. Heat water to 175 degrees and steep for up to 2 minutes.

Ingredients: Green tea, sea buckthorn berries, cranberries, raspberries, rosehips, hibiscus blossoms, apple bits, carrot bits, orange peels and rose blossom leaves.

Cold-steeped a pitcher of this. My mother drank half! This was a really yummy berry tea- almost tasted like juice. Sweet and slightly tart. I barely tasted the green tea, but there was a slight dryness that I think came from the green tea. Pleasant for a summer afternoon!

Cold brewed this one, and I’m really liking it. I’m not very good at picking out individual flavors, but I feel like I might be getting cranberry at the end of the sip. It’s an overall fruity, berry, slightly tart (but the good, berry kind of tart) flavor that I’m enjoying. I’m not sure how well this will hold up hot, but I think this will be a good iced tea when the weather warms up.

Having this one a lot lately. Kind of a mellow, friendly blend of flavors.

This was just what i was searching for a nice spring tea. It fruity but not overly fruity light and refreshing. Would probably be a nice iced tea too. When steeped the liqour is a faint pink. It’s just lovely lovely lovely.

Had some of this last night with some Youthberry, and Orange whateveritsnameis Blossom. I added some honey to it that my friend gave me! So sweet. I actually went to the ren fest last Sunday and had bought some honey to use, but accidentally left it at an incense booth when it closed. I went back to retrieve it but I couldn’t run to the booth without a security escort. It ended up that I led him the wrong way and felt bad so I just left it there. Sad day, no honey for me…

THEN my sister’s friend who is living with us got home from school. She’s attending beauty college and one of her clients that day was a beekeeper. Instead of tipping her with money, he left her a jar of honey. IT WAS DESTINY!! She texted me and let me know I could have it. I said she is more than welcome to my tea cabinet whenever she wants. GOOD TRADE OFF!

ANYWAY, the actual cup of tea was just okay. Moriah’s (the friend) was delicious, but I made my cup second and therefore did not get as much flavor. I still drank it happily though.

As with all Teavana teas, it’s not as good as it smells. They could throw passion fruit and goji berries and any aromatic shenanigans they want into a bin of lawn clippings and have you convinced it’s a flavorful fruit tea as they waft it’s aroma towards you while trying to convince you it is absolutely necessary to own a $600 tea set. The fact is, some Teavana teas make better potpourri than a beverage.
Now, this tea in particular wasn’t bad, but it certainly had some definite flaws. This tea has a very strong sour/bitter flavor that is slightly artificial tasting as well as being very astringent. In addition, the green tea is overpowered by the fruit flavor to a point where I believe that if this tea were completely herbal there would be no difference in taste. In the end it’s drinkable and better than some teas, but personally I wouldn’t recommend it because there are better options out there.

yum! i really like this tea. it is tangy but not too tart and just the right amount of sweetness (and the best part is-no sweetener needed!). This really makes a really nice fruit tisane. I can’t wait to try it iced.

Superfruit Unity is a tea that I use mostly to blend with less-flavorful teas or other fruity green teas.

The reason is this: it’s just so damn fruity that it needs to be CALMED DOWN a lot in order to be tolerable. Or it can just be diluted with water if you don’t want to blend it! (or just use less tea leaves haha) But my point is just that I only drank it without blending a few times just because it is hard to handle, and I could never get the right balance; it was always too concentrated.

Blending it with other teas calms down the intense fruits, and it’s great!

Less sour than the Weight to Go! Pu-erh Tea. Okay with a little sugar added, but nothing memorable.

Good taste, but too much superfruit and not enough straight tea leaves. Found myself mixing it with straight green to get more of the tea flavor.
