A friend of mine included a sample of this in a bag of goodies she gave me when we met (thanks Indigobloom!) and I couldn’t wait to try it. However, every time I remembered about it, it was nighttime. Booo.
Well, I remembered it today and looked forward to finally trying it.
So sad. So disappointing. So Teaopia. I taste mate, but very little peach. In fact, I don’t really taste any at all. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I enjoy mate, but not when I’m looking for peach flavor. It’s waking me up a bit, but I’m glad this isn’t one I purchased, because otherwise I would have been stuck with 50g of it. And this is one I’d be likely to reach for.

This is a wonderful smelling tea with the hint of peach it’s quite heavenly smelling. I did some research on this tea and apparently it has more health benefits than regular green tea and without the caffeine!
Even though I am not caffeine sensitive, it would be a good tea if you are. I just may start my morning with this tea instead of my usual black tea choice.
Just an FYI, it has more caffeine that green tea and I’m pretty sure it has more than the average black tea as well. Teaopia likes to make this claim that it has “mateine”, but that’s only another word for caffeine and is chemically identical. However, Mate is still healthier than coffee because of all the nutrients in it.
Funny, I loved this when I first tried it and then not so much in the second batch… I guess they lost their good supplier!! It used to be so much tastier sighs
