Drinking a bit of this with some Double Bergamot Earl Grey still in the bottom of the cup. Adds just a tinge of kick to an otherwise calm tea.

I decided to try this because I had never had chamomile before, and it was on sale. It’s sort of built into my nighttime ritual now- I have a cup when I start thinking about bed, as a way to start winding down. Since I don’t have another chamomile tea to compare it to, I’ll just say that I like it. It’s a bit sweeter than I’d like, but it’s very smooth and mellow.

This is an old standby from before I got into loose leaf. Despite its lack of flavor, I find it’s actually somewhat relaxing. The lotus, passion flower, and spearmint are stronger than the chamomile, though the chamomile is in there somewhere. It doesn’t taste terrible, but that’s because the flavor is so weak overall. Ultimately, it’s still in my cupboard because it’s got a decent chillout effect and since it works, it doesn’t have to taste amazing. Until I find something at least as effective and tasty, this will have to do.

This is a little to minty for me at bed time, but I’ve started drinking it after supper when a cup tea keeps me from eating something sugary.

Good idea. I usually want to eat something before bed…I’ll try to reach for just this instead.

Nice chamomile with a little mint and maybe something extra. It’s a little sweet and is quite refreshing cold. This one is pretty reliable. It’s simple, but I don’t really get tired of it.

This is tea 8/50 I bought in a Stash Assortment. It has a light flavor which is nice. I prefer Tazo Calm or Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime.

The bag smells a lot like bubblegum to me. My husband says minty bubblegum. Maybe my spearmint gum has conditioned me?

The tea is super mellow and a little sweet. I’m on my second cup and I love it even though it’s really tame.

Really incredible aroma that is peaceful and soothing. I love that. Flavor is pleasant but muted, even playing with steeping times. Mostly chamomile I think, with some brightness from the mint. It’s nice but doesn’t quite live up to the promise of the smell.

This is a very stale tea bag from my Grandparent’s house. I think it’s actually the last one that they have of this tea. (The packaging design has been redone since this was bought.)

Stash tea= Childhood Tea so I decided to see how stale this is.

It actually turned out quite nice with some milk and honey. It really reminds me of when I would drink sleepy teas as a child. I always added milk and honey back then and drank chamomile + spearmint blends. This is quite similar to CS Sleepytime tea the original version. Although I remember this tea tasting different when it wasn’t stale it had more of a lemony flavor from the lotus perhaps. Which is why I probably didn’t care for it back then. The smell of the tea bag is also off-putting it smells sort of like lemon floor cleaner or something artifical.

Great for bed time. Mint is the dominating flavour with a a touch of floral/earthiness. I’m guessing the floral/earthy flavour comes from the chamomile since I can’t say I’ve ever had a straight chamomile tea before. It does live up to its name though! Very calming, relaxing tea. Not something I reach for often but I always have a box in the cupboard.
