A perfectly fine bag tea served at a restaurant this morning with a pot of tepid tap water. Boo. I’m going to volunteer to be this place’s tea sommelier.

A little too earthy for me. I tried this because I was doing research and green tea is supposed to be good for you and I trust the Stash brand but this one does not taste good.

This is a catch-all note for Stash’s green tea and some Lipton green tea I had on hand. I woke up with a sore throat and feeling generally crappy so I’ve been using green tea + lemon + honey to get me through the day. I have to say, it’s doing a great job. The green tea cuts the sharpness of the lemon and the whole cup feels cozy. Plus, the five cups I’ve had thus far are keeping me alert enough to work.

Still can’t wait to go home and sleep though. Uck.

I did this the just under boiling and ice cube method, and steeped for a round two and a half minutes. Ahh, water tempering. I love you.
This tea is very vegetal. Although I primarily found it light, the flavour came out a lot stronger when I let it cool a bit and had some vanilla yoghurt alongside. (I always have vanilla ice cream at Japanese restaurants, or vanilla-based ones at least, this is partially why; the two bring out each other’s flavours a lot.)
For a tea bag, this is not bad at all. Though I still have a lot of loose green tea to go through as well, I know I won’t mind going through the remaining tea bags I have for this either. Yay for green?

Tea I got from a coffee place (way overpried). Not as horrible as expected! Don’t overbrew.

Matcha is that you? Why do I taste Matcha!? My mouth is so confused but at the same time, quite happy. It’s a light and grassy green. Quite good. better slightly cooled then boiling hot.

Basic green that my employer stocks at work. I does have a nutty flavor, but the finish is clean. Nothing to write home about, but not bad.

A good mid-quality green tea. I steeped it for 2.5 minutes in steaming (not hot!) water and it came out well – refreshing without any bitterness.

Don’t like green tea much, but it suffices in a pinch.
