OK, smell of the leaves i dint like too much, seems quite intense…
I’m starting with short steep (2 minutes).
Color is light. Slightly yellow/green-ish. I can barely feel the smell of the actual tea. Kinda surprising after smelling the intense leaves.
Ohhhh mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Delicate. Wow. I’m quite impressed. It’s so subtle, gentle, and yummy. Can taste both white tea and melon. In right combo. Pai Mu Tan makes it smooth and what i call nutty (like gently greasy like sunflower or pumpkin seeds) but idk, gotta figure out what word you use for it lol. I like it when flavored teas don’t totally overtake the original tea in them. Melon is well melony :D You know kinda sweetish, refreshing. They go very well together…
Oh the leaves of this tea are big compring to the ones I’ve had before. Love that…

EDIT
I noticed again on the first steep that colder the tea gets flavors get stronger. Thats obviously Ronnefeldt’s “thing”. With Bourbon Vanilla i liked colder better for stronger vanilla bourbon flavor. Here i kinda prefered hot tea with stronger PaiMuTan scent.
2nd steep 2,5 minutes, slightly colder water
Bit darker, tastes like the first steep.
3rd steep
Got cold and I like it. Very refreshing. Maybe i just found my summer drink. Well that and my Melon margarita :D Not even yummy teas will make me give up that treat…
OH YUM!!!!!
Sounds delicious! And I can’t wait for you to try some loose leaf oolong. Many of those have giant leaves, and yet they start out so tiny :)
i do have 2 loose leaf oolongs but none of them was that memorable. or had big leaves. got some real stuff coming in soon. can’t wait either ;)
