From New Mexico Tea Company

The tea has a light liquoring, fresh and smooth with reasonable depth and body. The cherry flavoring and subtle rose hints give the tea a wonderful exotic character.
Hunan Province produces some excellent Japanese style green teas. Early in the new season the tea is a bright emerald green and has the best flavor noted by a spring fresh character with pungency and body.

Iced: Start with 1 gallon of filtered water. Bring half a gallon of the water to boil in a pot. Turn off heat (let cool for 1.5 min.), and add 3 tablespoons (1 oz), let steep for 2-3 min. Strain the tea into the other half gallon of cool water and refrigerate. (if you want to serve immediately serve, you can pour the concentrate over ice)

I’ve been on a Sencha kick lately. I’m happy to have found a Green tea that is truly enjoyable; therefore, I decided to purchase a little bit of this Cherry Sencha.

I must say that the tea is light, sweet, floral, cherry-esq, and smooth. This tea is really refreshing! I’ve been working through the rest of the tea in the tin all week, due to the large amount heading my way as I write this!

The temperature on this Sencha should hover around 140 degrees. I use a bit more tea per cup (2 tsp/cup) than most recommendations so I find that 2 minutes is about the perfect steep time. The tea is very sweet although a few friends of mine have told me they prefer it with sugar. The flavor is very full but not too strong. Overall, a very good tea!

Softly green with rose strong in the nose and mouthfeel. Have to be in the right mood to drink a tea a rose flavor, but when I’m in that mood, it is lovely. Very pretty looking tea with the rose petals.
