From Mountain Stream Teas

This easy-to-brew tea people pleaser of a tea is full of all the classic high mountain red oolong flavors that are the favorite of so many. Smooth, sweet red fruit, soft rose florals and a touch of black tea malt greet the lucky brewers of this one.

From an organic producer in the up and coming Jade Mountain growing region, we are sure this tea will be the favorite of many. We are happy to be able to support organic producers in the region as well!

Method: Hand picked, processed on site, small batch

Region: Jade Mountain Region, Xinyi

Recommend Brewing Style:

Gong Fu Style: 3-5g per 100ml, ~95C water, 30, 45, 60 then add 5-10 seconds steeps in gaiwan. Lasts 4-5+ steeps.

Western Style: 3g per 100ml, ~90c water for 3 minutes. Lasts 2-3 steeps.

2023 sipdown no. 65

This tea is light, bordering on medium-bodied, with hints of malt hidden amongst subtle, sweet red fruit flavours (a mix of strawberry, cherry, and red currant). A really lovely cuppa and one I would order more of if given the chance.

1st steep: 1 minute
2nd steep: 2 minutes, 30 seconds
