The run of the mill TGY starter tea that would hook one into the tea game. It reminded me of the first time I sipped on real tea that wasn’t a Lipton bag or can of Arizona…Now, it’s quite a nice green, freshly floral tea, but it’s far from where I am now. Perhaps I’d share with someone new to the craft or wanting to dive deeper into tea, but it’s too green for me.

To avoid confusion this is the 2023 harvest. But they also have a 2022 harvest that is also very good. I am excited to see how they compare.
Dry aroma: Lovely, luscious tropical floral notes. Gardenia, plumeria, orchid, and slight hibiscus.
Dry Leaf: Gorgeous pine green mixed with a mellow mossy green. Very pleasing to look at. Tightly rolled, slightly open balls
5g Water @ 190F
Wet Leaf: Creamy, mouth-watering, buttered popcorn, lilac
Flavor: Refreshing, slightly marine, very mineral
Silky mouth feel. Filling.
Aroma cup: Butter. I have some frozen crab in the freezer right now that sounds mighty tasty as I sit here smelling the cup

This is a much fresher rendition of tie guan yin than I’ve ever had. Everything about it screams ‘fresh off the bush’. Granted if you had leaf fresh off the bush the experience is not nearly as enjoyable. The florals of lilac and gardenia blend so nicely with the deep mineral notes of wet rocks and granite.
Side note on the package. I’m very impressed. Not only is the packaging beautiful but also eco-friendly.

Leafhopper

Hmm, might need to check this out. I’ve been looking for a good green TGY for a while.

This is a very nice, fresh tasting oolong tea from iteaworld. It’s sweet and buttery and smells divine. It’s a nice, light tea with floral notes. Similar to green tea, but with that deep sweetness you can only get from an oolong. The actual tea leaves are also beautiful.

Buttery, floral, and sweet. Has some apple and vegetable notes, and a thick body.

This has a very similar taste to some green teas or oolongs I’ve tried in the past such as Ali Shaun got about 5 steeps of it and was nice thick creamy texture to the tongue https://iteaworld.com/products/tie-guanyin-oolong-tea?pos=2&psq=tie&ss=e&v=1.0
