Sipdown! (38 | 315)
Another tea from last month’s subscription box! And I recently won an Instagram giveaway for Deb’s 2 year anniversary, and one of the prizes is 4-100g tins of her teas. So expect a barrage of tasting notes as I need to try all of my still-unopened pouches to figure out which teas I want! Poor neglected teas… XD
Anyway, this tea. The dry scent is so freaking amazing – buttery, creamy, peachy. Sadly, the steeped tea isn’t quite on the same level. The base is a tad astringent, which works against the creamy note coming from the coconut. The peach is fairly mellow, which I actually appreciate. But overall, I think the base is too strong here, and it overpowers the creamy elements. The result is a somewhat astringent peach black tea.
Not being a huge peach tea fan (for whatever reason, I do love actual peaches…) it’s not my favorite. But I’m still excited to try the Peach Crumble Cake that I ordered from her new spring collection, once it arrives of course.
Flavors: Astringent, Coconut, Cream, Peach, Sweet, Tannic
