Of course, it was natural to compare this to S&V’s snickerdoodle tea, which is one of my absolute favorites. Compared to that…this one is quite plain. I taste the same sweet cinnamon flavor, but behind that is basically nothing. Maybe a bit of black tea, but mostly emptiness. Thanks for sharing, amandastory516!

You are making me to order Snickerdoodle!

My last order from S&V was definitely too long ago!

There’s a familiarity to me about this blend – and I don’t think that it’s because it’s reminding me of anything else from Dessert by Deb. I get a lot of front end cinnamon flavour but then the finish was more sweet and maple-y with an almost creaminess to it. Did it remind me of a Snickerdoodle? Yeah, maybe a little? But it’s more just bugging me that it definitely did remind me of something else. Like, it was almost like a cinnamon gingerbread kind of vibe? I don’t know, hard to nail down right now…

I was excited to try this one, as I know it’s a favorite of one of my Instagram friends.

I’m finding it very underwhelming though. I made sure to overleaf (as I always do with Deb’s teas) and it still came out quite weak. I do taste cinnamon and brown sugar sweetness, and I could see the snickerdoodle aspect. But it’s just too light for me, and there’s nothing special about the cinnamon + sugar combo.

Aw that’s too bad, the idea sounds so good!

I find a lot of her blends light on flavor, as generally she doesn’t use added flavoring. And when there are so many mix-ins, it dilutes the flavor of the tea as well…

Yeah I’m an added flavor fan, which is why I haven’t made an order yet.

The magic snickerdoodle ingredient is the tangy cream of tartar, which I have never seen used (or closely approximated) in a snickerdoodle tea.

This smells SO good, like most of Deb’s blends! It reminds me a bit of her apple caramel cinnamon bun tea; however, the aroma of sweet snickerdoodles does not have a yeasty, bread quality to it like the apple caramel cinnamon bun does. Instead, it smells like sweet, vanilla, caramel goodness.

I am not sure if I steeped this for long enough, but I am not sure if this is the best tea to have as a latte. Only because the flavour is weaker than I would like (or I messed up the tea to milk ratio somehow). I think next time I need to add a lot more tea if I am going to add milk to this.

It tastes like a sweet, cinnamon, vanilla tea. I would say the most predominant notes are maple vanilla, and cinnamon. So overall, I did like this tea; however, I just wish it had a stronger, bolder taste.

However, I definitely prefer Deb’s Cookie Butter to this tea! It has similar ingredients, but the toasted coconut and caramel bits in that tea really give it a cookie butter-like quality to it!

I made this earlier while baking snickerdoodles at home. It seems my brother-in-law had no idea what a snickerdoodle was because he kept asking me if they had peanuts in them. Since I thought they were something he’d really like, we decided to bake some. Our cookies were great. This tea not so much.

For me I think the maple syrup crystals sometimes bogs down the tea. It adds a sweetness but a sweetness that sort of sits on top of everything and keeps it all one note. While it was a cinnamon/maple sweetness, there wasn’t much more to it than that and it just seemed like it needed something to break through to round this out. It definitely did not taste like my cookies.

I put the rest of my bag into my swap box because realistically I either won’t drink this or I will literally only be drinking it to get rid of it. So if there is someone who would actually like this or would like to try this, I am happy to share.

I actually enjoy this one cold-brewed, I have not tried it hot yet. How much is left in your bag?

I’m not sure tbh. I would have to check.
