Yes We Cran

I poured this over ice and added a bit of lemon extract. Very tasty, one of my favourites.

Yet another tea my bf got me for my birthday a couple years ago. I’m not really sure why I never finished this tea because it smells pretty good, like a cranberry cider. Though it also kind of smells like… a grandma’s perfume?

Anyways, this tea when steeped actually tastes like how I imagine mulled cranberry juice would taste. It’s mainly just cranberries and spices, predominantly cloves. I also recall enjoying this iced, even though I don’t typically like putting fall spice teas over ice.

Overall, it’s not a bad tea. I am hoping that David’s will come out with more cranberry teas in the future though, because they are one of my favourite flavours in a tea.

Like it, but don’t love it. It’s not enough sweet and fruity for my taste. I expected more sweetness with the cran, and it was more tart than sweet. Not my cup of tea!

I’m having this hot this morning. There’s a damp chill in the air, and I wanted something that tasted like fall. I haven’t been drinking a lot of tea lately because I’m challenging myself to avoid sweeteners, but this sounded like a nice way to start the day. I don’t mind that it’is tart, with cranberries and hibiscus I expected it to be a bit sharp. With a lack of added sweeteners, though, I do think I’d prefer it over ice.

Bright, can get almost a little tart.

When this came out I thought it would be a blend that I could get behind, but when I smelled it in the store I changed my mind….didn’t really like the smell of it. When I saw just a little left in the box, I took the opportunity to try it – I’ve been wrong before.
I cold steeped it and got an overly sweet, cinnamon mish mash of flavors. Nope I don’t like it.

I was not impressed with the first cup of this tea. It was a pretty dark pink color and smelled wonderful, but the taste- not much registered but the hibiscus. My mistake was expecting it to taste like hot mulled cran-apple cider rather than tea. The second cup was better, and the third better yet. I think with such large pieces in this tea, its best made in larger quantities rather than by the single serving. My husband, who hasn’t been a tea drinker prior to this year, loves this tea, and has taken my bag over as his own. He often steeps it half and half with DAVIDs Apple Custard tea.

This is the perfect fall-winter herbal tea. A lovely fruity tart cranberry taste with a slight spiciness. I’ve only tried it hot, and have it almost every day.

My first cup I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this tea. I had no idea if I liked spices mixed with berry, however the second time I tried this tea I fell in love. It’s so comforting on a fall evening I am sad I did not stock up while it was in season.

I’d like to start off by saying that this tea is definitely the underdog of this year’s fall seasonal for David’s. This has been the first time in a long time that I have really enjoyed every tea in a seasonal collection, but this one really shined for me. Aside from tea, wine is my other beverage of choice and this tea is reminiscent of a mulled red wine with the addition of pumpkin spice. I’m a sucker for cranberries as well, so it was pretty much a perfect blend for me (even with the hibiscus, which I’m not too keen on). I love this tea hot, but I highly recommend trying it iced and adding some seltzer (sodium free!). It brings out some of the other fruit notes buried in the tartness of a hot cup.
